Controlled Matter Displacement.
Also, a point from Del Stimpson: This game will have to take place during one of the many, many times that Adol is in the hospital.

Why not way before Dogi met Adol, back when he was a thief?

The Captain and I believe that at Reah should at some point send Dogi to fetch her harmonica. Example Lets say Adol is hurt and Lilia & Feena are fighting over who gets to take care of him or you know Feena gets kidnapped again or something like that. Reah goes to Dogi and tells him he has to go save Feena, Goban the land... Dogi protest they get in an argument and Reah gets mad enough to throw her harmonica. We'll say it lands in a lake or goes over a cliff she then tells Dogi to go get it. Dogi starts a new argument and she proceeds to say some thing like "You can go get it now or Adol can go get it later and how happy do you think he'll be when he has to do that again!" That's how I see it starting anyway.

Here be some Dogi-isms! Dogi getting annoyed at Adol ... in Chinese! (Too lazy to even try and translate.) The aftermath of Dogi:

Only because with all the new folks at the board, they need to see this thread and feel its awesomeness.

For some reason, I see Dogi smashing walls like Wario does in Wario Land 4. Only cooler.

Only cooler. ;) MP83 needs to put that Dogi game out. :( And XSEED needs to add a scene in Ys SEVEN where Dogi can specifically bust a stone wall. Lord know he busts up enough boulders and monsters in the game but it's not the same!

He busts a draw bridge in Ys 7, and has the opportunity to break out of jail a couple times too!

Spoilers: The Dogi simulator game already came out. Due to not being able to secure the character license they had to remove all references to Dogi, but the game is called Muscle March for WiiWare

There was that phone Dogi game right?

Bump.
How about an Ys-themed Warioland hack starring Dogi?

That.. um.. wow.. that'd really work. I've only played the Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land, but still it'd work great with even the first game. Was this what Jefferson Airplane meant by "go ask Alice?"

The theme would work for any game, but Warioland 4/Advance was what I really had in mind. That particular entry feels like it was built to be played quickly, kinda like Ys seems to be now.

Exactly! You both get it! We briefly discussed this a page ago. Personally, if Dogi went next-gen and moved exactly like Ys Book I (anime) Dogi (I believe... episode 7, wasn't it? They were in the "Laskan" Mines.) Also, I like "Laskan" more than "Rastin" or "Rastinee"; think about it, the major gold rush in Alaska? Digging for Cleria in Laskan? It seems quite intentional!

Wario Land 4 is one of my favorite platformers, so I would love to play a Dogi hack of it.
