Hi everybody! I'm new here and in Ys' world I new the series by name but never played it since Ys6 that I finished 3 days ago, it's one of the BEST games of my life! After that I searched the first ones and tried the revisited versions of Ys 1 and 2 of 2001 and they are GREAT! To be honest, I didn't buy them yet cause I really don't know where to buy them I saw that : www.watch.impress.co.jp/game/docs/20010618/ys02.htm and I wanted to know if it was possible to buy it again in 2004 I leave in france and most of the stores sell it only in the us or japan or with VERY expensive shipping I want to buy YS6 too but it costs 100$ + shipping....it's biiig last question : in the ys6 box, there are included ys1 to 5? did they include Ys 1 and 2 of 2001 or the very old versions ? I thank you for your answers! ;-) see ya !

As for the other games, they can't be bought. But they are still possible to get in some ways. Downloading ROM images, for example.

Yes. Those can be purchased from shop.himeya.com, I think the price is about $69 each. Pretty expensive, but I am sure it is worth it. The Ys games included with YsVI is the PC-8801 versions, from 1987 and 1988. They are on the Ys complete works CD, which also includes Ys III, IV and V. You will get those if you order YsVI from shop.himeya.com, it's $99 plus $5 shipping, they do ship to France.

Thank you VERY much for all these infos too bad it's so expensive You're welcome. But didn't you say you had played Ys VI? Or did I misunderstand that? Anyway, since the game will probably be translated, you'd better wait 'til that one is released, instead of buying the japanese version. If you don't understand japanese, that is.

Well, as I said, you shouldn't buy it until it has been translated, as you have already played the japanese version.

I'm also from France, glad to read that one more french fellow appreciate this game... It's not that expensive to buy games from Falcom directly, it costed me only 92€ for Ys VI with the shipping... Normally, all the PC games are still available there, no???

I didn't know it was so "cheap" to buy on falcom's site, that's a very good news! How long did you wait to receive the game? And I'm also happy to see others French Ys fans

Has there been a translation project started for this game? I was going to wait for the console release, but if it comes with 3,4, and 5, I would definately like to pick it up. Unfortunately I don't know any japanese.

Not sure what you mean, but Ys I and II eternal/complete has been inoficially translated, yes. But part two is only about 75% finished.

I was asking if there is a translation of Ys VI yet. Ys VI is coming out for the PS2 usa and PAL in 2005 with a full english dialogue, you get to play the game in english. not bad. Konami is bringing the game to the PS2 and perhaps other consoles too but the ps2 is set in stone for sure.

Generally not much... Ys VI is under work for an US fan translation on PC... Honestly?! I haven't heard any of this! Got any links that could be of interest? I need to know more about this! Edit: Oh, I think Konami means that they are going to add new places and items, improve the graphics, etc. At least they said they were going to.
