That's a spoonerism which therefore contradicts that I am living without spoonerisms -- although in this context, spoonerisms could be a place too. Either way, I've incorrected it.

Sad news: The other ROM hacker says this will be his last ROM hacking project.. (due to school and studies) So I'm off my own on the Ys II translation if I choose to do so. That will lose connection of momo, our great translator, so we need to find many more people that can translate for us when we are done with this game... well I just hope this translation project will end very well...

Of course. It's the proper way to spell it. People are confusing the Ys Book I-II names with official names. Colin? Lair? That game is a terrible source of Ys names. Actually, the first episode of the anime called it the tower of the damned (right?) They call it "Darm's Tower" in the anime*, which I find is a MUCH better name, and I always read it as Darm's Tower, when something says "Darm Tower". *The guy in the anime first say "That's the Devil's Tower", but then he says it's ACTUALLY called Darm's Tower. The Master System version calls it Tower of the Doomed (but at least it also uses the Zepik name).

Ah, that's it. Maybe it was just me who always called it the damn tower... or maybe I'm thinking of "Dahm Tower" which sounds like a Schwarzenagerism.

Indeed, but the jokes could've been worse. They could've been redneck jokes, which make no sense at all. You know, the ones that begin with "You know you're a redneck...". If it has nothing to do with duct tape in excess and corn chip casserole, I don't get it -- which is 99% of the time a fact. Even worse, they could've been "Yo momma..." jokes. I like pop culture stuff.

... dunno what u guys are talking about XP but more updates: all NPC speeches of Minea is done. Screens: As you can see the post of Sarah, you can see 2 mistakes: 1. Fortuneteller Sara's is cut off 2. Mispelled Sarah as Sara I need a way to fix this, so I'm thinking of these options: Sarah's Fortunes Sarah Sarah's Sarah's House

Sara is NOT a misspelling. It is her real official name, used almost everywhere.
It's Seer Sara (or Seer Sara's). And that name would fit in the box too.

I think there was a discussion about her name somewhere here before ... or maybe it was just with me and someone else outside of this board but apparently, there IS a difference in Katakana spelling between Sara and Sarah? o_O????????

Yup, either way works. I find "Sara" to be more fitting, and the one I have seen in official translations as well. Agreeing with FM-77, "Seer" has the very same meaning as "Fortuneteller"; the difference is that "Seer" is exactly 3 times shorter. I think official translations also used that word instead for the same reason (space constraints). Seer Sara's or Seer Sara's House or whatever is fine.

Exactly 3 times shorter? Fort unet elle r It's 3.25 times shorter, by my count. However, isn't it Fortune Teller? Fort une Tell er Which makes it 3.50 times shorter. Edit: I've got to stop second-guessing myself. Edit too: I'm still trying to wrap my head around the Ys anime and their translation. Rastin became Laskan; which in turn could ironically be read as Alaskan, since the series has areas based off of real-life geography. Infact, Ys itself is either a myth or buried under sand and ocean -- amaze yourself, do a wiki search on Ys! It definately may not be what you think it'd be, but it's still QUITE interesting, nonetheless!

Rad's Tower = Rado's Annex

you sure? (I don't know much about this so I can't comfirm it myself...) And we are going to keep Fortuneteller Sara's. But I did a quick workaround... Before -> After as you can see, what I did was create a separate set of fonts, over the double byte ASCII characters using a thinner font. Now anytime I need a thinner font, I can just use this new font I've worked on

Rado's is not a tower in itself, but an annex (annex = an addition that extends a main building). Look: It's the little thing on the top left part of the tower. Rado is what has been used in every single translation of it ever.
