www.develop100.com/Go ahead and click the link. The website has a clean, nice layout without clutter or demands to click next page all the time (IGN, anyone?). Interesting list! Falcom in #47? That was unexpected.

Falcom isn't in the list. xD And this list looks kind of fake to me... I mean, Capcom, Knami, Namco, Square Enix and stuff THAT down?! No way. anyway, coolz.

HaHa I agree with Varion. I watched a british gaming show called gamer.tv and they "proclaim" the psp to be the all time greatest console in the UK. Fudging Joke...and not the british kind ether haha.

Its a great piece of technology that is unfortunately not used to its full potential. I love my psp, but hate the fact I cant use the tv adapter. Apparently my psp has a weight problem.

I think he means that he has a fat PSP, as opposed to the slim version. The packaging for the video cables clearly states that only 2000 series PSPs work with it; which I suppose means slim PSPs only. That's a terrible marketing ploy if I must say so (and I did).
I agree that the PSP is a successful system in many ways, it has a successful library aswell, but it could be improved by... I dunno... the inclusion of a Melty Blood: Act Cadenza port? I'd totally dig it! If only I could somehow PSP MAME it...

I believe the PSP to be the all-time greatest console in the U.S., myself. No, man. The best console system is the one that has the most games released for it. XD And is the PSP really a console system? I always figure that consoles are the ones that can't be played in your hands. :K .... I'm leaving that emoticon in cuz it look funny. Damned if I know what it's supposed to be though.

That would make the PS2 the greatest console due to omnipotent software availability. Emulation and hard disk moddification, games still being released, and still outselling the 360 in japan. Hell its almost selling near the amount of PS3's. To sum it up, the system is a huge success.

But the PSP only offers stereo sound. Thats archaic. Not bashing the PSP. I have one and its thee videogame machine to play when I'm on vacation. I have no desire to play it when I'm home.

If only they had a firmware update so fat model users can play PSP games on the TV too. Bad sony!

For Europe, the PSP is the worst system in history. we only get a new PSP game here every three months. all those RPG's that are on sale in the US will NEVER make it to EU shores. PSP is a fucking joke in my opinion. SNES is still the best system EVER! with PSX in #2.

I'd have to wait. I still don't know if my bank's cleared up that issue with the company, so the difference in my account could be $20 - $110, depending on their research department. Plus, I'm still waiting on my tax returns.
How much does a slim cost these days?

That's not true. Most PSP games get released in Europe, the RPGs included. I can't think of any RPG that hasn't been released here.
Also, it's region free, and imports are widely available.

Ow, that's still pretty steep. I already have a 1 gig; if they made it a 2 gig, I'd be sold on that alone. Not really a fan of Family Guy, and I'm not sure if I'm quite sold on the Jak/Daxter series yet. I'll have to see if I can find one that's used. It's kindof a rip just to switch from fat to slim for something that I'm not guaranteed to be around 24/7; TVs which are compatible with the PSP cable. That's another expense I'm not looking forward to. Not to mention lugging said TV around when I move, which I do alot; gas prices, rentals, etc., that's more expenses I can't afford. We're already plotting a yard sale to eliminate the expense of lengthy back-and-forth trips. Kinda makes me miss having a steady job.

You can't connect the slim PSP to your TV anyway. It needs to have component connectors, and be 480p compatible (most SDTVs don't have this).

Ehh, just buy a slim. They don't cost much, and they are SOOOOO worth it. -Tom They don't cost much?! If you knew all the trouble I had to buy one... And I even had to import it since here it costs more than twice the original price. Also even though I have the PSP Slim, I have no games or memory stick for it, and it will take a good while until I can buy some of these... Whether it's "cheap" or not, that depends of the financial condition of each person. For me, it's something I'd never buy unless I'd like to die of hunger or get really f**ked up, financially. I'm putting a bit too much drama here, but I think you got the idea. (I owe a person who helped me import it.)

Ehh, just buy a slim. They don't cost much, and they are SOOOOO worth it. -Tom I just cant bring myself to trade in my perfectly good psp for a slim, just to give sony more money so I can play on my tv. I am really upset they purposely made all the new add ons non compatible with the old psp. I just haven't been impressed enough with the difference. The ds and ds lite have huge differences (ie better screens) and the gba and gba sp were HUGE upgrades.

I have to agree with FM. Although, while I do have a TV which is compatible with the PSP slim, it's very big, and thus quite inefficient for travelling across the country with, all the more to backup my previous argument regarding the PSP slim. There's no guarantee I'll always have a TV like that, and those TVs are far more expensive than I could handle this year. Moving = a royal pain. The only argument I've heard so far is that the slim has UMD caching. Us fat users can copy UMDs and run them off the stick at 333 mhz, so UMD caching isn't much of an issue. Then there's add-ons... well let's see... I don't need a camera or a GPS, (since I know damn well where my house is, and wouldn't leave the house with my PSP) and I can't afford the TV required for video output... No dead pixels... well, I only have one, in a far off corner. You can only see it when the screen's dark... outside of that though, it's not something which significantly affects my experience with the PSP. Overall, I think most of what you've claimed so far is just hype. That or I'm a tough customer. Either way, the slim's gotta do alot better than that to get my attention. It's still quite limited. Maybe if it transformed into a go-bot and got itself run over I might be less biased.
