Well EXCUUUUSE me, princess!! 80's Zelda was alright. I own the box set. Nothing beats a perverted, lazy, comical, under-appreciated Link who talks like he was born in the 60's. I remember when he whistled at Zelda from the balcony and commented on the angle of his view. Totally funny, if a bit perverted. I used to appreciate the Super Mario Bros. Super Show and its relevant cartoons, (including the Super Mario Bros. 3 cartoon) myself. I missed out on Yoshi joining the series, but I doubt I missed much. I know it doesn't qualify as 80's, but the Saturday morning Sonic the Hedgehog (more commonly referred to as SatAM) anime-ish show was beautiful for a 90's "cartoon" and is still damn sweet. I'd love to have the box set, but I'm surviving with the bootleg "Satanic Blood" ( SatAM Sonic, Tit anic, and Melty Blood; thus, Satanic Blood. Can you tell I like naming my burned CDs?) for now. It's sad that it ended prematurely, Snively could have done exceptionally well as a villain! The Sonic the Hedgehog CARTOON (now you understand my emphases, yes?) was pretty corny, especially during "Sonic Says" segments... but it was still okay. It totally hasn't stood up well for any day's standards, though. Scratch and Grounder were pretty damn annoying characters. I'm not sure which version of Tails I prefer, but I'd just have to say the SatAM version.

You rich kids and your cable.
Does Bucky O'Hare count as 80's? Because I used to watch the shit out of that. Oh, and the standard transformers, GI Joe, et al.
And Captain Motherflippin' N. My god, I loved that bidness when I found it.

Yeah, she has a smokin' voice! I never caught Captain N, though. I'll pick up the SatAM Sonic box set, soon enough. I have the first SMBSS DVD, haha... and some VHS tapes even! One of them was the grand prix, and the other was the one where King Koopa goes gigantic. I think someone accidentally taped over my grand prix tape. I thought the official VHS tapes were supposed to be write protected!

Why not Kid Super Power Hour w/ Shazam? Anyone remember Great Space Coaster?
He Man was still good. If we're hitting the 90's it would have to be X-Men, Beavis & Butthead, Ren & Stimpy and Animaniacs.

I find 90's and 80's cartoons ended up both having the same kind of charm. I have tried to watch new saturday morning cartoons and man we were damn lucky to be kids when we were.
I used to have to stay up till 3 am on weekends just to see samurai pizza cats on ytv. I was very saddened to hear an announcer say it was the final airing one night. They took that and the original dub of dragon ball off and I loved them both.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7puhQpBGrIThis one was a lost gem from my early youth. Every Saturday, I'd wake up to see the last 5 minutes of the show, and not knowing what it was about killed me. It was only until last year that I was able to finally see the complete series (which is entirely on Youtube, by the way), and it blew me away. If you're into incredibly advanced antediluvian civilizations (namely Atlantis and Mu), Mesoamerica at the time of Pizarro, and a great adventure story, you won't want to miss the Mysterious Cities of Gold. If only the show would come out on DVD here in the States... In my opinion, they really don't make cartoons like these anymore. Holy crap, looks like Ulysses 31 is on Youtube, too!

GOOD LORD. I knew I was forgetting a chunk of the stuff I watched! But for some, I was too young to remember them well anyway! However, I should add Spiderman & His Amazing Friends, Thundercats, Inspector Gadget, Tiny Toons, Care Bears, Voltron ... probably some Go-Bots too and Bravestar. ^^;

I really hate Tiny Toon! I hate all of those Warner Brothers characters. Damn you Daffy Duck! Damn you Bugs Bunny! Actually I don't like any cartoon, but the ones I mentioned are especially bad.
