Terranigma won't work on your NTSC SNES (or TV, for that matter) unless you buy the Japanese version. The PAL version is region-locked and will only boot if your console is in PAL mode (50Hz). There are two solutions to this: 1. Buy a SNES flash cartridge from www.tototek.com and apply the NTSC patch (can be found on http://www.romhacking.net) to a Terranigma ROM, then burn the ROM to the cartridge and play it through that. I have one of these cartridges and they work great, and are very easy to use. Perfect for playing fan-translated and hard to get games on a real SNES. Best purchase I've ever made, I think. 2. Mod your SNES so that you can choose between 50 and 60 Hz mode via a switch. Start the game up in 50Hz (because you must - it won't boot otherwise) and then flick the switch over to 60Hz when the title screen music starts playing. Voila - your game will now run perfectly on your NTSC SNES and TV.

Bah that seems like a ton of bother. I have looked at those flash carts, but I have a pretty good set up on my comp for playing roms (thanks to Magic Engine). I am glad you told me it wont work on a ntsc snes because I would have ordered one and been mighty pissed. I am also looking for soul blazer but I think I'll ebay that one.

Whatever you do, don't miss out on Terranigma. Play it on an emulator if nothing else.

Yeah I am now, and I am really enjoying it. Still I find Illusion of Gaia a better game.
