It would be nice (even though I prefer to play games on PC - better graphics, sound and controls). Especially if they replaced the ugly 2d sprites with 3d models, like they did with Ys VI. And also translated it to English, of course. But my crystal ball says it will never happen. And it is right. Every time.

A PSP port on the other hand would seem very likely.

that may be possible but lets hope they dont ruin it like Ys Vi,as i read that the psp port of Ys Vi was really bad compared to the Ps2 Version, since it had far to long of loading times and the voice acting was cut aswell as the Alma's Trials and all that ive seen that they added was a art gallery, kind of dissapointing for such a amazing game

Yes, the PSP port of Ys VI is quite bad, but I like Ys VI so much that I could easily play through it (I did it in only a few days), and it was the most fun I've ever had with my PSP (or more like, the ONLY fun I've had with it).
But if YsF or YsO were to be ported to PSP, it would probably be by Falcom themselves, as they've made quite a few ports to it already. And they are fairly decent ports.

Nope, it's just fine on the PC with a ps2 pad. No need for one, certainly not from Konami.

I would be for it. I hate how much crap you have to go through just to play games on a pc and I would be mad if it was on psp. The load times were horrible for Ys 6 and it was much better on the ps2. Yes there were some weird animations but the sprites were not that bad and most of the original content was left intact to be unlocked. I am all about playing Ys on a nice tv with a kick ass stereo and with a reliable piece of machinery. No computer chair beats out a shitty old lazy boy imo!!!

Yes but it will never happen. What I really would love is for someone to complete a patch for the PC version. That has a little slighter chance to happen some day.

Actually, I haven't been able to play YsO yet, because I can't run it. You need tons of stuff. And there are side-effects sometimes, like when I installed YsF... Also we all know the most common question regarding both YsF and YsO among non-japanese people is "how do I run it?". It's the one that pop-up the most.

It's the one that pop-up the most. Well ihave both YsF and YsO. before knowing about the english translation patch by Nightwolve i was able to play Felghan by using a Microsoft tool called AppLocale that tells the select program you want to run that it is under a japanese windows version even if you use an american one or an european one. You have to add the japanese languages by the windows xp cd and then install AppLocale that you can easily downlaod from Microsoft Website. When you'll do it just start AppLocale and then select YsO executable and run it. It will run without troubles...this is my own experience ...just try

Thanks for telling me how to do it. xD Though I was aware of how to install it. The problem I have is this one, though: You have to add the japanese languages by the windows xp cd and then install AppLocale that you can easily downlaod from Microsoft Website. The Windows XP CD is long lost. But since I formated my PC last week, now I may be able to play it. I'll try. Though that just shows that it isn't simple to install games on PC, especially oriental ones. Which is why consoles and portables are more efficient in that regard we are talking about. But thanks for the help, doppiapunta. I bet this will help the many other people with problems to play YsO.

I was able to load up regional language support without the CD, myself. Are you sure it's not in your system files?

When you install Windows XP, it will ask something about supporting Asian languages. If you don't check the box for it, it won't be installed.
You are only able to load up support for these languages if you checked the box to have them installed. If you didn't you have to install it, but it's not possible without the Windows XP Install Disc.
Though that problem is solved now. My brother acquired a new CD, and we formated the PC with it. And this time the box was checked. =]

A friend of mine installed the support for asian languages, but without the cd. He searched for each of the individual files on DC++. It took hours.
