o.O
Hmm... Perhaps it was too difficult to play it on the keyboard?
Hm... have you tried the PS2 version of Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim?

I think for the most part this is the direction Ys has been on for a long time now. It all started with Ys 5 imo. Now there has been 4 Ys games where Adol is a red head "Link" that can jump. I like both play styles imo.

Yeah, just make sure you're playing with a gamepad, and it's really not bad at all. You just need to get used to it! (: -Tom I played Ys VI with the keyboard. :P And I think for part of Felghana I did too until I got the USB adapter for my PS2 controller. Now I play any action PC game or console port with a gamepad. :B

Ys should be played with a keyboard damn it!! Stop ruining your own experience as to how Ys is SUPPOSED to be played.

I can't stand using a keyboard. My hands get all cramped and I am used to playing video games with palms up, not down.

Palms down? How do you use a keyboard? Stop doing it, regardless, that can't be good for your wrists!

Anyway, I hope you manage to get used to it, ceciljornal. =]

Anyway, I hope you manage to get used to it, ceciljornal. =] Yeah, i must admit that the experience really changes when you use a joypad... The music is great too(likewise...), but i still prefer the old sness version.

Y III in general is really good. It has the best soundtrack out of the entire series IMO.

I have to agree with you wyrdwad. While Felghana is superior in nearly every way, there is still something Compelling about Ys III. I still play it even though I can finish it in less than a day. I have the soundtrack saved on my mp3 player and I listen to it all the time while I'm driving. But I still have to say that my favorite piece of music from the series is First Step Towards Wars from the first one. I don't know why, I've just always loved it.

I think one of its charms is that it can be finished in one sitting. Delightful game, really.

That port probably has the best versions ever of the game music.

That's why Deuce rigged the Turbo Duo Soundtrack to work with Ys I & II Complete(he did one helluva job too). Those Midi mixes or whatever they are that come with the games suck. It just isn't the same unless you play it with the Turbo Soundtrack.

Hell even the retronauts mention it in their game music podcast. They hated the game, but very highly praised the soundtracks for Ys book 1 and 2.
