Wow, I just took a look at korzic's speedrunning Ys I & II COMPLETE thread, and man ... XD You are still as amazing. XD Incredible. Yeah, there were quite a few findings around the time you left. Whenever you get caught up with everything else, there's a couple more I'll PM you, if you're still interested. Don't beat yourself up over it too much. If you're busy, or you just need a break from here, go ahead and do that first; it can't really be helped. Personally, I've got a lot of free time on my hands, but I need to remember that's probably not the case for others. Anyway, I think I'm going to start recording the improvement to Ys I soon. God help me...

Whenever you get caught up with everything else, there's a couple more I'll PM you, if you're still interested. Oh, definitely. I'd be beyond glad if you did so. xD They always interested me a lot. xD Glitches and bugs, especially in Ys games, get me QUITE fascinated. I find them to be super fun, even when they don't have much practical use. XD There were some PMs you sent to me that I couldn't find the opportunity to read yet, and some that I read, but couldn't reply to yet. I'll definitely catch up with things, though, by slowly checking things everyday. xD Don't beat yourself up over it too much. If you're busy, or you just need a break from here, go ahead and do that first; it can't really be helped. Personally, I've got a lot of free time on my hands, but I need to remember that's probably not the case for others. Anyway, I think I'm going to start recording the improvement to Ys I soon. God help me... ... Thanks. xD *was totally beating oneself up* And I apologize again. xD But yeah, I have been doing other things till July, and from August onwards I got especially busy with college (and a bit with my italian course that I have been doing for some years now), and I end up with little time for other things, because I use a lot of my "free" time for studying at home, which is needed. But even then, I can check here pretty much daily, with some exceptions. xD So I'm going to do so. Also, I read about that. I wish you luck with it! I'll quickly check the topic again and other things too, and see if I may have some advice to give or help in some other way. xD Though considering the quality of your run and your very knowledge/experience with it, I don't expect to notice something you didn't yet. xD But I'll still check things out. (From what I recall, though, it was pretty much the bits that involved luck that could get some minor improvement, as you said yourself in the thread. xD)

Speaking of Koshiro, I want to play The Scheme soon. I want to play the new 8-bit game he's been working on, but I'd technically need an Xbox for that, right? Damn.

Red Hairdo making a comeback of some kind huh? Well if you do so, like most of us hope, do us a favour and change your avatar back to the earlier one "Haha, Old chap!" It fits your signature better and I believe (at least want to) that most of us (strange but don't mind it) prefer your earlier one more Or do you have something against it? Please don't say that you do Anyways [Φ] 赤毛

Hey MP83, do you or anyone else know of a way to extract the background images (the whole screen, not just one section) from Ys I/II Eternal/Complete? The reason I ask, is because I've noticed that, in some areas, the game doesn't show you the whole screen because of certain boundaries.
For example, the Mountain Path area outside the Thieves' Den, if you move around near the crates, you can just barely make out Darm Tower in the upper-right corner. Across the bridge, there's an area that lets you scroll the screen up a little farther. I believe there's probably more of Darm Tower to be seen (probably not much, but still), further up and to the right, but it can't be viewed because of the various boundaries (the cliffs, crates, etc.).
Also, in Darm Tower's first Mirror Maze (F13), I believe there's a small closed off area, near the middle of the far west side, but again, the boundaries get in the way.
Anyway, if I'm correct, the game probably has the various screens set up in rectangular/square shapes, even though sometimes you can't see it all during normal play. In Zeptic Village, you normally can't see all of the lake or whatever, but via a glitch, I was able to walk outside the screen boundaries, and found out that there was indeed graphics for that part of the lake. Unfortunately, this glitch doesn't seem to help in other spots, such as the area outside the Thieves' Den.

Ummm, what are you talking about? I've no idea. If I said more then you would get an idea what i am talking about. Or at least there would be high risk of that and you spilling it out and thats why I won't say more about it (at least not much more, i guess)

Hey MP83, do you or anyone else know of a way to extract the background images (the whole screen, not just one section) from Ys I/II Eternal/Complete? Sorry, I don't. The only person who probably would know, is Nightwolve, but I'm not sure how willing he would be to help. Alright, I'll try contacting him, then. It's a shame, really, since I think if the screen boundary was actually on the very edge of that Mountain Path screen (like it is in Zeptic), I could probably go outside the boundaries and check this for myself. Oh, for anyone interested, the glitch is basically to let Feena die right as you're entering a new screen, but she also has to get left behind somehow (whether she's too far away, or you use an item during a screen transition). Doing so won't give you an "official" game over (you can still move around), but you won't be able to enter/exit anywhere (if you do this in the Shrine, you can have Adol touch a warp statue, or go up/down the stairs, but nothing happens afterwards).
