Oh dude, there is so much I haven't seen, and as I mentioned in another topic, I just don't have the time to see it all. I kinda stick to my "super favorites" when it comes to anime, because I know I am going to like it (comfort zone) and I know I am not wasting my time (I am a big "time sensitive" kind of person). I am a little biased though, because I am extremely nostalgic at times, and nothing makes me happier than to see Macross Plus playing on my TV. Shutting my eyes, and listening to the main theme, really puts me at peace. I am hitting that point in my life where I am getting close to my limits. I am very close to marriage, and kids, and I know I will have .0001% of my time available to my hobbies (Guitar, Video Gaming, Anime, and Modeling.).

You know, I can't stand the art in Galaxy Express 999. In fact, I despise THAT particular type of drawing style. I guess this means I don't like Matsumoto Leiji's works? :P
Five Stars Stories is hate too. (It's not by the same creator.) The artwork (anime AND manga) makes me want to stab my eyes out.
I dunno. There are certain art styles I can't stand. Since I haven't watched many new anime, I'm sure there are some of those I can't watch either. :P
Oh! I reeeeeeeeeeeally don't like Toriyama Akira's stuff in ANYTHING he does. Go Nagai's stuff is annoying too. I used to not like One Piece art but since I've reading reading Fairy Tail (which has a similar style but by a different artist), I don't cringe as much when I see One Piece.
Wait. Fairy Tail is manga only so far. ^^;
Whoops! Almost forgot to mention Asamiya Kia. What the heck were they trying to do when they got him to draw American comics? Is his style THAT appealing to Westerners? >_> That man draws the UGLIEST faces on his characters.

I love those, and I remember being so excited to see it happen.

Not all the characters in DB/DBZ have big gozongaz, and in Chrono Trigger they are pretty small, with Aila being the exception. I think its only DQ (DW for MR. Maggot) and some DR. Slump stuff that has big boobs. I love Toriyamas take on thing, he has always stated that he hates the norm, and thats why he loves making small characters the most powerful, and he absolutely detests the stereotypical "Tasukete onegai!!!" whimpy, but sultry anime chicks. He almost always makes "strong" women. Its funny though, because his works have become so popular they are almost the "norm" now.

I don't know why, but when I saw Code Geass on Youtube I couldn't help but think that Casshan the Robot Hunter looked better. Code Geass just looks too clean to me.

Meh, there was no issue at all in the first place. It's all a matter of preference in style, not technique. If you like the old animes because it looks old, then it's a matter of style, not the technique being used to draw it. Likewise, I can like the newer animes because it doesn't look old and that's because the style in anime making has totally changed.
In the past, Japanese anime makers believed in humanizing their characters as much as possible, thus the greater emphasis on outline and shading of features to achieve a more anatomically correct appearance. But the NEW anime is more about being cartoonish where anime characters have smooth faces with eyes that take up half the face.
A good example is the comparison between Gunbuster and Diebuster anime by Gainax. Noriko of Gunbuster looks very much human because the animators then painstakingly draw and color their stuff by hand. And that's how anime girls look then. But Nono of Diebuster has large oval eyes and a very anime face. There wasn't any need to give her features extra shades of color or more shadings of outline because.... that's not anime (now) and it'll prolly make her look grotesque.
Another great example is no other than Slayers. Go compare the very first Slayers (90s) and Slayers Revolutions (2008). The art style has not changed at all. But it's obvious they used computer graphics programs to create the newer one. And is that a bad thing? No. Slayers Revolutions looks as awesome as it was 10 years ago, at least on first glance. So who's to say that animators now can't achieve the same "quality" as 10-20 years ago? It's all about the current trend in anime style.
And if you want a good example of top-notch recent animation, go watch Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. It's a classic example of anime on a high budget with very good animation.
