Yes that is very good too!!! Its a pretty short one, so grabbing the whole series is simple.

I'd never seen the TV opening of Lodoss! Its so nice! I've actually only seen the OVAs and read the mangas, despite the fact that this is the very show that got me so happily obsessively hooked to animes and mangas. For quite a while after watching the OVAs/reading the mangas, I wanted to go off and learn japanese. X'D So that I could then read the actual books!

Ah Record of Lodoss War, it was the very anime that turned me to a Sword and Magic Fantasy fan. Watched both the ova and tv series. Only thing that irked me was the lack of discontinuity between the end of the ova and the beginning of the tv series. Especially when both series are supposed to be in the same world and with continuing timelines.
The opening song of the TV is also one my first few favourite Maaya Sakamoto songs.

Looks like a pretty decent show! And you'd never know from the OP alone that it's hentai. ...with many rape scenes. I wonder how anyone can find it erotic seeing monsters raping powerless human girls. This is terrible, as I have figured out where I recognize Words Worth from. I picked this up from a used DVD store in Chinatown ages ago, and put it in my 'to be watched someday' pile. I never knew I had Hentai sitting in plain daylight for everyone to see ha ha.

I have really been enjoying this show as of late, and the main theme is really catchy to me. Ghost in the Shell: SAC is quickly becoming one of my favorite series, and I really can't wait to delve into its second series.

Yep, GITS SAC is awesome. And if you think the main theme is catchy, wait til you hear the main theme for the 2nd series. Probably the best GITS opening IMO.
And wrydwad, here's the opening to that super robot show I told you. Gurren Lagann.
Gainax actually put all its money into the animation department so the quality of the whole anime is actually as good as what you see in the opening. I loved it yet hated it because of my favorite female character that's not shown in the clip. Those who watched it should know who.

Hmm, I'm posting again... anyway... I like my hot-blooded, adrenaline rush, fanservicey shounen animes. But once in a while I watch the occasional shoujo anime just for the heck of it. And sometimes I actually like them So here's a couple of openings which caught my interest. Ultra Maniac opening. Sung by can/goo, one of my favourite anime theme song pop groups. Sugar Sugar Rune. Ok, For some reason, I really like this opening.

Well, I'm no Gainax fan too, especially after this anime. I hope you didn't like the red haired girl as well... coz I don't. But it's just me against thousands of others. I hate that Gainax does shit stuff to its female leads, you know they either die peacefully... or die explosively. And I'm not even a robot fan as well, but I admit that this anime is a good watch... for the most part.

I feel like I am part of a minority here, but if there is Gundam or Macross involved I am sucked right in. I don't want to go as far and say I am a fanboy, because I know there are some weak things in the series. I just really genuinely like them, and have always had a soft spot for them. Sometimes it takes me a bit to get into one of the seasons, but its hard to hate mecha shows that I have been watching for over 15 years.

Oh, Macross is awesome. I just prefer to watch right from the original series before embarking on the recent ones. I loved the valkyrie designs when I was young.
Gundam is usually a hit or miss for me. So far, my favorite is still Gundam Wing. Sure some of the UC fans might beg to differ and I did watch Gundam Z and some, but the UC series are a tad retro for me. Then again some of the AC ones aren't that swell either. Can't believed I actually finished G-gundam...
Gundam Seed is nice, but that's only because of Kira Yamato. And Gundam 00... well I think it tries too hard to be political and ends up being pretty on high definition.

Those two GITS openings were perfect examples of 'openings that make you go on and watch the show'. I'm totally won over! :'D I'm going to go off and see if I can try to grab myself a couple of episodes and see what its like. I had (still have?) the three films but only made it halfway though the first. The DVD wouldn't work properly. I think I'll pull them out now and give them another chance. (Or maybe just read the manga since I appear to have a short attention span with watching stuffs). But those two were really, really nice. (I don't mind mecha shows either, by the way. Not my favourite types but I actually prefer those a lot more over extreme cutesy shoujo (magic girl!) shows? Maybe because those pretty much the only type of animes I grew up watching. Biplane/planes/airship based stories though I usually LOVE!) The Allison & Lillia opening is really nice too. It was actually part of the reason it got me to grab a couple of episodes and see what it was like. I never made it beyond the first episode though. Allison irritated me greatly (for the most stupidest of reasons!). I think... I'll give the show another chance sometime later though.

Can't believed I actually finished G-gundam... Gundam Seed is nice, but that's only because of Kira Yamato. And Gundam 00... well I think it tries too hard to be political and ends up being pretty on high definition. I am a big fan of Wing, and I feel like 00 is trying to ride its glory a little too much. Seed was great too, but it really has many many parallels to the older series, which is a good thing if your not into them, like you said you were. If you watched and enjoyed Seed, then watching the older series will bore the hell out of you as they are the same. The one that stuck out for me was Gundam X, and everyone HATED IT They even cut the series short, and I guess its evangalions fault, but at its core it was a great series. Basically, it is the end result of what could have happend at the end of Wing, with colonies crashing to earth. Macross is easy to pick up from wherever you watch it from. The series is very disjointed, and they all take place many years apart (Except 7 and Frontier, but they are very far away from eachother so it doesn't matter.). The valkyrie designs have not changed that much, if anything thats the thing with Macross that Gundam doesn't have; A sense of tradition. If you really liked the original series, please give Frontier a chance. It a total rehash, but still its own entity. There is crazy love twists, plot twists and really great animation. The battle scenes are wonderful, and of course the soundtrack is great. Macross Frontier Opening2 minute preview

Yeah well I'm working up some motivation to watch MF. I've got other animes to watch, and not much time to spare...
And here's some pretty cool bgm only anime themes.
Cowboy Bepop Op. Who can forget Yoko Kanno and her music?
Trigun. Come on, I'm pretty sure many have watched this awesome series.
Gad Guard. Oh noes! Another robot show! But but it's pretty good you know?
Gun Sword... well it's like a cross between Cowboy Bebop and Trigun...with some robots thrown in but I like it.
Haibane Renmei. Pretty interesting anime. It was created when the makers of Serial Experiments Lain were not so much on crack.
Texhnolyze Op. One of the more bizarre animes I watched... unique I would say. Made by the makers of Lain while on lots of crack
Ooh kay... I just realized that's a lot of themes..

HOLY CRAP THAT WAS AWESOME
I always heard it was a good series, but after that opening I have to track down some Lupin III episodes. That part when he jumps into the window, damn priceless I tell you.

Did anyone bring up Shingetsutan Tsukihime yet? A smooth, beautiful art style paired with a beautiful, gripping and heart-rending modern-age fairytale of vampires and mystery makes Shingetsutan Tsukihime a must-see for all hopeless romantics and anime lovers alike. =) Edit: I second Trigun, by the way. That is an AWESOME anime, by all means. I own (I have "copies" of... haha) the entire set.

I always heard it was a good series, but after that opening I have to track down some Lupin III episodes. Go straight for The Castle of Cagliostro - awesome Lupin movie by Miyazaki, and easy to buy in English too!

Shingetsutan Tsukihime looks pretty cool, and I am a sucker for Vampire anything. Ill check it out one of these days.
Now I know this is a little unorthodox for this topic, but its just too awesome to pass up. This has to be the single greatest video I have ever seen. I one day hope to see a full episode.
Spiderman.... the Japanese live action version....with a big fighting robot too!!
To stay a bit more on topic though I will post an opening from Iczer 3. I am a big fan of Iczer anything.
