I figured I'd do a parody thread. It's simple, you post pictures of what you're downloading. Now, you don't have to be shy, but censor them if you must. XD Yeah, I have a thing for redheads, so what? Don't we all, Ys fans?

She's from the Buffy series ("Willow"), and she was in the American Pie movies. She's on a regular TV show now, "How I Met Your Mother".
...Yeah.

I don't know who Alyson Hannigan is, but I'm guessing from context that she's a redhead porn star? (I actually kinda like redheads myself, so yeah... might have to do some "research" here...) -Tom How did you know she was a red head then Im on to you I would love to see a certain Admins 'list'

Despite what you may think, that certain "admin" doesn't actually download a whole lot of stuff. They do LIKE to download when there's something interesting to get, but unfortunately there rarely is. Besides, they're happy with what they've got (not much, but GOOD stuff). Also, their primary torrent hard drive recently SUPRER DIED, so a large amount of files are missing! Also, I have no connections with this admin. I am just some person passing by, making WILD GUESSES about other people. So who am I to trust? I may be wrong (although I am not).

img524.imageshack.us/img524/9240/45145107en3.jpgNothing very interesting or colourful, I'm afraid. ^_^ I recently tidied up my PC, and most of what was there got sorted away into other folders~ I don't download so much these days anyway. Actually, I never really did. I always just bugged my brother to do it for me. <_<; He just happens to be gone now. ^_^;

Debussy, eh? How exquisite, and symphonies too! Learning Korean too, at that! I wish you good luck!

Debussy, eh? How exquisite, and symphonies too! Learning Korean too, at that! I wish you good luck! *nods* I've been playing lots of Debussy on the piano recently~ Although...while I like to pretend I'm awfully cultured, the truth is that my current downloads folder fails to reflect the truth of a computer that houses a 2GB 'Cute Animal Images' folder, and a whole host of sappy romantic movies. ^_^; It also fails to mention that as much as I do like Saint-Saens, the reason I sought out that specific part of the symphony is because its melody was used as the theme song to a movie about a talking pig. ^_~ Oh well. I wouldn't have it any other way. I appreciate and enjoy things like ballet, theatre, and classical music, but life without pop culture just isn't nearly as fun~! ^_^; As for Korean...umm...I'm trying? Mostly via textbooks and suchlike. ^_^; I think that folder was just audio files~ My Japanese and French have gotten to sort of a frustrating point now. I can't say I'm bad with either language anymore, but there's such a huge gulf between being 'not bad' and being really good. Studying something new inbetween going through big lists of vocabulary in Japanese and French makes it a little less insanity-inducing. ^_^; Being able to make quick progress with the basics of Korean makes me less inclined to feel that I'm just really dense when I encounter a Japanese word I've learned seven times, only to find that I've forgotten its meaning again. ^_~ Plus Korean is really pretty interesting~! The writing system is so ingenious. And the grammar is fascinatingly close to that of Japanese. ^_^ It's nice to not have to retrain my brain to another style of grammar. Subject Object Verb took me a frighteningly long time, so... ^_^

Sorry to disappoint, but here's my "list": And for the record, I didn't download that Sonic game for myself (and it's already on the DS now). And I didn't actually need that program. So I could just as well delete my downloads folder. My lack of downloads MIIIIGHT have to do something with me not having an Internet connection though. But as "User" said, whoever that is, I don't actually download that much. It's just that I don't BUY stuff either. I don't need a lot of media. Funny how "User" knew that though, as I have no idea who that is.

Elin - I've always found it so fascinating how someone can actually 'read' the music sheets. They look so complex, like entirely another language. :'D I'd love to be able to do so one day. You're very lucky that you know how to play the piano! (I've wanted to learn how to play the guitar I've had for the longest ever time, but can't ever seem to find the time to. And besides, everything looks so scarily difficult!) Anyways, my latest download list too! Nothing particularly interesting. Nor pretty accurate, since half of the stuffs got moved to their respective folders. I guess I tend to download somewhat a lot since... if the computer is on, better make use of it!

Alright, Minitokyo! Wait... no, I'm thinking of Mega Tokyo. >_<" My mistake. Piano is awesome! I play the electronic keyboard, (Mine's one of those big fancy Yamaha keyboards with nearly 500 samples, etc.) so I can relate. Hell, I'm still trying to play "Green Sleeves" as some people call it. Beats me what it actually is, but I like it... although I suck at it. XD I really don't even know how I'm supposed to... eh, proper finger/hand positions, coordination and all that stuff. I'm just a casual pian... keyboardist. You know, the kind that doesn't do chords or really more than one hand hitting the keys at a time. I could've been seen attempting video game music on church pianos and (please don't let my saying this one word haunt me) church organs aswell. Attempts include Mother and Earthbound tracks (mostly 8 Melodies), Aeris' Theme, the overworld themes for Final Fantasies IX and VII, and a few others. The ones I've named, I think I did okay with. The ones I'm not naming, I did poorly on -- which okay, I admit that Mario and Zelda themes are in that batch.

Bah! >.> It turned out to be a fake video. >.< I hate it when that happens. It was almost intriguing at first, but then I saw something pretty unusual that I didn't think was physically possible. <.<
x.X For a woman at least. If it was a fake woman, that'd be understandable. >.> But dude, the chick was definately a chick. With bizarro talents.
>.< That's two fake vids now, with the same chick. Maybe it's a chick with a simialar name? Either way, she's friggin weird. >.>

Latest acquisitions of my regular "pic hunting" on the 'net, all gotten just last night. I've been rather picky about my shows and music lately, so nothing new on that front, alas. Other than that, the only thing I've downloaded since was a pair of PDF files which are for one of my classes. Not terribly exciting...

Elin - I've always found it so fascinating how someone can actually 'read' the music sheets. They look so complex, like entirely another language. :'D I'd love to be able to do so one day. You're very lucky that you know how to play the piano! (I've wanted to learn how to play the guitar I've had for the longest ever time, but can't ever seem to find the time to. And besides, everything looks so scarily difficult!) Well to be honest, my music reading skills are not so great either. ^_^; I'm sort of...mostly self-taught. I've jumped in and out of lessons at various points over the years, but I never really settled into them for any great length of time until very recently. So reading is never a skill I fully mastered. Of course I can read music well enough to learn a piece from its score, but... Learning to just read music is very easy, I think. ^_^ It's not nearly so complex as a real language. It's more like a code. ^_^ I reckon you could learn most of the basics in just a few hours if you wanted to~ It's learning to read quickly enough that you can have a piece put in front of you and play it right off the bat that's a much trickier skill to master. You end up having to stay mentally two or three steps ahead of your own playing. And if you're playing an especially fast or complex piece, that's not so easy. When I first met my current tutor last year, she gave me Grade 6 pieces to help me improve my playing, and Grade 1 pieces for sight-reading practice. Suffice to say the gulf between me playing a piece I know and a piece I don't really know is...sort of vast. ^_~ I think the most difficult thing about learning an instrument is just overcoming the initial hurdles it presents, though. Even learning basic things like moving your fingers quickly and precisely independently of one another, and coordinating your hands properly is...not so easy at first. ^_^; You don't really use such delicate feats of dexterity and coordination in many other fields, and very rarely to the same degree. For me, though, once I had learned to play the piano a little it wasn't really too much of a jump to be able to play it a lot. I don't know. Different people learn in different ways, I suppose, but I found that I made extremely quick progress once I had gotten past the 'Let's play Three Blind Mice!' stage. ^_~ Of course I'm not exactly a great pianist, but... Outside of certain virtuoso classical piano pieces, there's not so much I'm afraid of trying to learn now. ^_^; And if I can teach myself to play piano to this degree, I'm sure you can learn to play the guitar too. ^_^ Just try not to get too discouraged when you're just starting out, as terribly difficult as that can be. And don't give up~ ^_^; The ones I'm not naming, I did poorly on -- which okay, I admit that Mario and Zelda themes are in that batch. Ahaha, some of the Mario themes are really scary-hard, though. I remember trying to learn an arrangement of the Athletic Rag a couple of years ago and being pretty lost. ^_^;
