Mashed potatoes and fried herring... and über-advanced salad including grapes and more.
It was nice.

I like rice a lot =|
But my ladyfriend makes excellent, excellent friend rice. Oh god I want some right now!
As for my last meal; a cheeseburger and some over-milked Mac and Cheese (kraft style). A favorite of my Grandma, who I was visiting yesterday. Sadly, the burgers had no buns, so we used white bread. I don't like using white bread, the condiments soak too far in, and it tends to stick to the roof of one's mouth.

Also: I'm eating dry cereal -- captain crunch -- without silverware or bowls. Edit: I can't seem to find GMF's captain crunch comic cover. (Try saying THAT five times fast!) It was awesomesauce!!!

T_T Food... food... ehhh... guess I'll eat this cheap americanized ramen shit again. >.> I've been avoiding it, although I used to really love it. I'm just getting tired of eating extremely powdered, dried, and preserved ten cent foods.

I had a town special spaghetti from the pizza place! It was good! It had mushrooms, onions, green pepper, tomato and beef -- hell, it was a glorified american chop suey, with spaghetti instead of macaroni noodles. XD

I'm finishing the last bite of a pair of quickly slapped together turkey sandwiches (on mini whole wheat bagels) right now. XD
Prior to that, all I had was a cup of coffee this morning.

I always though my family was the only one to use normal bread for burgers. Ah the resourcefulness of a lower-middle class family Today I had Starbucks for breakfast. One venti Cappuccino A daily MUST) and some pumpkin loaf. Its great, think banana bread but pumpkin pie flavored. I ate rice for lunch, and I am starting to think for a white guy I sure eat alot of rice. Maybe its because my Grandfather served in India during WWII, and he brought back tons of cooking ideas from there.

It's not just a lower-middle class resourcefulness. I come from a rather upper-middle class family, who is resourceful and thrifty. We eat burgers with white or wheat bread all the time.

I had Stew-Beef last night, here's how you do it:
Chop up two slices of bacon and fry them over medium-high heat, just to get a whole bunch of oil over your skillet/pan. When these are crispy (my fire alarm goes off half the time because it's about five feet from the stove) remove them and throw a LB of Stew-Beef in the oil. Brown this and then add a handful or so of chopped yellow onions.
While these are going, combine
1 Chili Pepper, chopped, use the seeds 1 tbsp Capers 10 Green Olives, chopped 4 tbsp Tomato Sauce 1 tbsp Vinegar 1 cup Beef Broth
When the onions are cooked, throw all this shit in there, turn the heat to medium, cover, and simmer for 45 minutes, stirring here & there. Then for the last fifteen minutes un-cover and cook over medium-high heat until the sauce is reduced (you can see the bottom of the skillet/pan when you stir). Freaking amazing.
It may not be the most visually appealling dish, though.

That sounds absolutely awesome! Hey, that does it, I'm treating my family tomorrow! Thanks for the tip! Oh, and uhhh... boy, do you get your chili peppers down south, or on the coast? Chili peppers are awesome in desert states, but absolutely suck in green/coastal/winter states.

Chili peppers are awesome in desert states, but absolutely suck in green/coastal/winter states. I get my chilis from the mini-market down the street from me in Baltimore City. (does that count as the desert?) Usually jalapenos but sometimes if I'm in a certain mood I'll buy some random phosphorescent one and hope it doesn't hurt me too badly. I would recommend adding some rice or something if you're serving this in a family setting. Otherwise you have simply the Slop of Pure Awesomeness which not everyone will understand.

Yeah -- if it's not in the desert, it tends to be weak and watery as opposed to hot. It's been ages since I've had any truly spicy food.

My girlfriend brought me home some Pasta from her business lunch. I am a sucker for meat, meat sauce, and pasta with meat.

Last night, I had more Kraft macaroni and cheese, because that's what was being made.
Tonight, I made myself a pizza.

Today's dinner was fantastic. Me and a few friends went to a local Japanese eatery today, totally chowed down on Udon and Sushi, fantastic and a half. ::Grins:: I spent $30, but my friend gave me nearly his entire bowl of Udon, because he couldn't eat it all.
I feel totally irresponsible in today's economy, but I was supporting a local business run by fantastic people, so I don't feel bad.
