The idea has been passed around, and a few of us were looking into making this really happen. This poll will be open until the 31st, and depending on how the voting goes, we may open another thread to discuss details. I for one, am in support of this, and I hope some of you are as well. Secret Santa says a present is anything you receive of somebody else as a gift - for example a poem, drawing, collection of obscure websites about their favourite game, mini-translation of a game or anime opening/song or somesuch... something like that.

I figured I would post so you know if this decides to get done. I am for the idea.

As I said in the other thread I think it'd be a great idea, as long as there are a few clear rules are in place beforehand.

I think that could be sorted by a quick line explaining that Secret Santa says a present is anything you receive of somebody else as a gift - for example a poem, drawing, collection of obscure websites about their favourite game, mini-translation of a game or anime opening/song or somesuch... something like that.

I once saw a good one, I think on i-mockery.com, where they tried to send each other the weirdest junk they could find. Old stickers from the 80s, cheap generic action-figures from the dollar store, etc. EDIT: Haha, oh god, I just looked back through the pictures and had to post this one as an example of what I'm talking about: Little Princess VS Destructicorn!!!

I voted yes. I like the idea lots. A drawing, a poem, a website link and stuffs like that are nice ideas! Unlike with you guys, apparently Pakistan Post here is pretty cheap and forgiving about mailing costs. The only issue is, with me sending tangible presents, at the speeds they deliver, you guys would probably get my presents by Valentines day! :'D

I'm down, though I think I'd prefer exchange of physical gifts, exchanging links and such just seems like something we can do anytime, anywhere.

The reason for mentioning that is so that anyone who may have the will but not the cash isn't excluded. It's about the thought and the effort, not the price tag.

A fun thing. I'm in. Also, I already have something that will surely be of great interest to GMF. It's nothing physical, but I think he will appreciate it regardless. Others too, I'm sure. But especially GMF.

I don't know yet. If I still remain sane until the end of the year, then yes. But let's see, a lot of changes will be happening to my life within the next months, but I'll see what I can do. Because that idea is very nice.

Ok so I am hearing tons of stuff like money constraints, and "my life is busy as hell" kind of posts, so...
I was thinking about instead of giving each other a gift, we provide one to the entire board. The gift could be related to your interests, but something you want to share with the board as well.
As I already have a good idea for what I will post, a good example would be my love for the Gundam series. I could post a link to a zip containing .mp3's of all the theme songs, or if you are an Ys fan, post a cool video that you made (I am referencing GMF's AWESOME Ys vid that was posted in the Spam board.)
Anyways, it helps show other members what you are into, makes things a little more cost and time efficient, and allows members to pick and choose what they want at their own leisure.
Remember this is not concrete, as the Poll is open for 3 more days, and please post input, no matter how small it may be. I hope my suggestion is to every ones liking.

Depends. I'm not into christmas anyway. But so as long it doesn't involve me sending stuff from Asia to the other side of the globe, I suppose it'll be fine. Postage from where I come from is exorbitant.

Ooh. Just spotted a spiffy idea in the wishlist thread! :D
I like the thought of everyone submitting a wishlist to a designated person and then have that person pass long the stuff to the respective gifters. ^o^~
I think it'll be easy for me to put together a list that doesn't require people to shell out crazy moneys and postage. :3 It'll include Roos and Pikkards! And maybe some lens flare too.

While I had always adored the idea of attempting an Ys minigame, there are too many personal projects on my shelf still. - LoX Area 4 Maps - "Project XX" - FaXanadu Remix hack, website, and all dlc. - ...my "Currently Playing" list. I must refute my statement though. I don't mind either completing any one of my given projects by Christmas, or adding a new one to the load. I'm just currently obligated to work on something and get it done before taking up a new project, I'm afraid I'll one day end up with a workload with many projects on the backburner, not unlike that of AGTP's. If I infact come up with something between now and then, I'm certain that there's more than enough time to get something small and simple done. (If I had my way, and I'd finished Project XX a few years ago, an Ys/Adol motif would be ready to go this year.) I DID have a fascinating dream of Ys. It could be Ys alternate, or Ys revolution. Either way, it was Ys... but it was rather different. Think of Japan, but with an Ys motif. I already know what Barbado looks like, I have it mapped out perfectly within my mind... <3

An Ys minigame would be awesome, and who knows if its popular enough, could easily turn into a full on homebrew game.

If there's any way I can chip in on these minigame projects, let me know what you need. Edit: This is not to say that I won't intend on working on a Ys minigame project, but simply that I'd like to assist someone else's project. It's the least I could do. There's still two months left, anyway.
