See you online. ;P (I'm all hype about finding other people who'll play PSP2 so I can get some of the online titles out of the way from Challenge Mode, Battle Mode, collecting 50 friend cards, and having 30 different people visit your room)

I'll get it too, as long as I'd be able to play it on CFW.

Mario 2 was just Mario 1 all over again, but almost impossible to beat! (I hate 8-1 so hard; having to run, and jump on a spring, and do *everything* with pixel-perfect precision and timing, sucks!!!) Now if you *mean* to say Doki Doki Panic, then I just might agree with you! // In my mind, Doki Doki Panic is NOT Mario 2, and will never be Mario 2. First off, *WHY* strip the fucking save feature?! Why, Nintendo?! Do you hate us that much?! Second, the remainder of the game is nothing more than a graphics/bgm/sfx hack anyway. It's like saying that Super Pikachu Land is a real Pokemon game -- it's just a graphics hack!

the Japanese Mario 2 was the first example in how to take a fun game and make it unfun by making it too challenging. Of course the Japanese liked Tower of Druaga sooooo... Dropping the save feature of Doki Doki Panic is kinda expected back in the day. It's far from the disc system game ported to the NES that had to have the feature removed.. Wait, was the original even a disc system game? Well, even if not you'd be surprised how much adding a battery raised the cost of the game back then... and since the modern console market was still in its infancy I can understand them not wanting to take the risk. I've always liked US Mario 2. Out of all the "blacksheep sequels" it's the best one. Plus all the graphical changes and enhancements are an improvement over Doki Doki Panic, IMO

But I loved The Tower of Druaga! The PCE version is the BEST! It's awesome. Especially compared to the Arcade version. Nightmare of Druaga is also awesome! ...it's a HACK! ...and not even a GOOD hack at that! >_>; The game itself, yes, it's good, but it's freakin Doki Doki Panic! ...without a save feature! ...with characters I couldn't give a damn about anyway! ...with a changed plot which made it all a fucking DREAM -- therefore, "Mario 2 US" never happened! // Serious, imagine them doing that with Secret of Mana and calling it Super Mario RPG 2 -- it'd suck major ass, AND it'd be nothing more than a *CHEAP* hack!

wyrdwad: It's because they're talking about Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels (US -- SNES/GBC) / Super Mario Bros. 2 (JP -- FDS/SNES) -- NOT Doki Doki Panic (JP -- FDS) / Super Mario Bros. 2 (US -- NES/SNES).

Yeah. This is true; but at any rate, a true SMB2 doesn't exist -- even The Lost Levels is an annoying graphics and level hack of the first Mario, with poison mushrooms. It's not fun in the least. XD Yes, I'll insist that all versions of SMB2 are crappy hacks.
I feel like Seldane saying that, though. XD Just like I do anytime I say anything bad about Secret of Mana. I need to finish it. >_>;
// Tut! *takes his gloves off and slaps people in the face with them* Ho ho!

US SMB2 was the second best "hack" ever then.
...Power Blade being #1
Also your chronology is wrong. Secret of Mana came out before Super Mario RPG. Now if Popful Mail for Sega CD had actually been Sister Sonic on the other hand...

No, it's still a crappy hack of a superior game. Doki Doki Panic is still better.

I haven't played Doki Doki Panic, so I can't really say. Perhaps I'll have to remedy that one of these days. -Tom Spoilers: It's Mario 2 with some different sprites, some missing animations, and apparently a save feature

I just wish it was a better price, but given how much some of those titles are individually, I think it still passes.
Also, the shipping price was nice too. $0.00

Gah. Time to restock on Wii Points already? Wild Guns is a must-own and I don't have the original cart already.
And if I pick up points for that, might as well buy Kirby Super Star as well. I've got Kirby 3 but not Super Star and I think the latter is a better game.

If I could find it for that cheap, you bet I'd be getting it. Hell, I'd buy it at the $40 it's at now if it was higher on my priority list.
I did just place an order for Hexyz Force, though. This has been the weirdest new game experience ever for me. It's notably obscure, in the grand scheme of things, so I did what anyone would do: go out to preorder it to ensure a copy arrives close to me and is mine. Nobody would accept a preorder for it. I show up to game shops after the release: nobody has it. Gamestop doesn't even have it in their catalog, so I can't order it through them. I go to our local electronics chain: sold out, no copies in the warehouse, cannot order - they tell me to come back on Tuesday (today) and there might be some in the shipment. I go to amazon in the interim: Temporarily Unavailable (what). Back to electronics store today: still nothing, nothing in their warehouse. A couple of copies at another location across town, though, thank GOD. So now there's one with my name on it being shipped over here, 1 week later.
I've never had anything remotely similar to this happen. Ever.
