Am at the beginning of the Second Chapter. Love the fast pace, love the synthy soundtrack, and the voice acting is a riot:
Logan: I hereby order you to release all of the prisoners slaving in the pits.
Commander: I hereby order YOU to la-dee-da-da!
So far, I'm having fun!

The bad voice acting and bad translation is because the game out at the end of the PC-Engine era in the USA. Hudson soft was low on cash at that point in time, no money means bad quality.
Bandai just didn't want to spend any money on the gaghar translations...

Actually, outside of the voice acting, the translation seems quite good as things go. Thee's even subtle bits of colloquialism when you go to different countries and things like that. Hudson seemed to put more effort into translating their games than most companies at the time. But yes, the voice acting is quite lo-fi. Be sure to check out www.audioatrocities.com for examples of brilliant "acting" from this and many other games.

This game & it's voice acting rules! And the game itself came out at the begining of the Super CD era, so, it wasn't for another year or 2 before TTI was going under.

If you haven't played this, it's definitely worth a shot. I actually like Ryo's opening and boss music BETTER than Falcom's!

Ryo did all of Hudson's Falcom ports.
