Rashomon was an amazing film. I got to see that one myself a couple years ago in a foreign films class in junior college when I was still figuring out what I wanted to do. Foreign Films is probably *the* elective I think everyone should take. I still have yet to see Seven Samurai, though. ASUs library has it in their catalog, but it was checked out back in, oh... 2008. They have another copy, but it's on a 2-hour loan limit. So, basically it can't leave the library. I plan to watch it there one day if I can spare the time.

So do you have to loan it twice to able to watch it or is it so that you don't need to loan it to watch it there? But yea good plan to watch it since its good movie, at least thats what I think having just watched it not long ago. I think I ll watch it again soon, if I ll be able to 'steal' enough TV time from other family members, could take weeks..

Just watched Golgo 13 - The Professional... Spoilers in the post, but not super major. Holy cow! I am blown away! It didn't even seem like an anime, it was amazing. Like, it didn't seem like a Western cartoon either. It was just a movie. An awesome one. A beautiful one. I was... I am absolutely amazed by it. I honestly can't put it into words. After it ended, or rather as it ended, as Laura pulled the trigger on Golgo 13 and you get a sort of mystery ending, the music started to swell and I let out a bellow of excitement. For a movie made in 1983, and dubbed... later? the voice acting is terribly awesome. Like, I was blown away at the characters. It must have been awkward for the ladies to do orgasms. Snake is a creepy motherfucker... The CGI is sweet too! Wow! Pointless, but sweet! It blew me away, 1983 for it be made? Awesome (and I'm tired, what an awkward sentence...) This is obviously an amazing film, and should be watched by all. I think I might put it above Blade Runner! I've also got Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, Friend, Fist of the Northstar, and Twilight Samurai ready to watch. Wow!

My only experience with Golgo 13 is the NES game they made way back when, haha. I'd like to check out the anime one day. Oh, and I assume the 2 hour loan limit is just another way of enforcing "this item cannot leave the library." I'm pretty sure if I went to check it out and I explained that it was a 3 hour film they'd let me finish the thing.

Well then I'd recommend it. As long as the offer good viewing domains for it, or headphones or something.
It is a great GREAT experience.
Watch the movie, it is great.

Now watching: Appleseed. It just started and I'm already liking it.

Appleseed and its sequel are two of my favourites. Really flashy and cool, eh. Good enough, and enjoyable with bad-ass stuff going on. All I need.

I wasn't aware there was more than one kind. It's cel-shaded CG.

Oh yeah, I still need to see the 80s one. Saw Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance. The subs on my download SUCKED so I'll need to buy a proper copy. The didn't even sub the last guy's dying monologue. I didn't like how they made it so obvious about the group that kills him. You don't need to quote that part, nothing else in the movie was exactly straightforward (well, maybe that's the subs) and I knew immediately. something I like about Asian cinema is that they don't constantly tell you character's names.

Watched Kick-Ass over the weekend. Definitely wasn't what I expected, the commercials always acted like it was a kids movie lol. Was still a great watch.

Silence of the Lambs and This Is England. Both fantastic with superb lead performances.

Just got back from watching Iron Man 2. RDJ still keeps his performance up and running, While Rourke delivered a helluvalot more than I originally anticipated. As for War Machine, I personally guarantee that you will NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!! And now, "I'm on the HIIIIIIGGGHHHHHHH WAY TO HELL!"

I also saw Iron Man 2. It was good. I followed up with Iron Man, since I didn't see it before. Both were good movies. The only thing that irritated me was the main character, he's so mumbly and argumentative; and when he mumbles, he does NOT shut up.
