Just saw Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom! Holy hell! My heart is still beating fast, and I'm just catching my breath... that was one hell of a ride, better than the Avatar shit today! Because this'd be good on subsequent viewings, that's the thing.
It was my first time watching an Indiana Jones film. My step bro and mom told me it was the second one though? But in the box set it says Chapters 23, 24, and 25 with Temple being 23? Then doesn't that make it the first? Or were they released out of order? Obviously, the films were the first thing made, I guess they filled in those other chapters later.
Are there any good Indiana Jones games? I somewhat doubt it... Speaking of which, are there any good classic Star Wars games (I hate the Battlefront crap...) on SNES, Genesis, NES, etc?

Thanks! That's a lot to take in... from 3 different guys I've talked to about this too... but hey, that's all good. Pretty much seems equal opinioned! Thanks Wyrd.

Can ANYONE make any sense out of the ending of Ink?! >_> It seriously lost me. I mean... So this guy kills himself and becomes Ink. But then when Ink reveals himself to his daughter and she still loves him, she snaps out of her coma and her father's really alive? ...but he committed suicide!!! How in the hell does that make any sense?! Other than that, it was a terrific movie! [/img] ...you'll have to quote this message just to read the spoiler. img /img makes a GREAT spoiler tag! // You saw nothing!!

JSpeaking of which, are there any good classic Star Wars games (I hate the Battlefront crap...) on SNES, Genesis, NES, etc? Indeed it sucks. It's pretty much only multiplayer capture the flag. Bleh. And I don't think you'd be able to sit through KOTOR I or II since they're pretty lengthy with a crap ton of decision making. But! The characters in Knights of the Old Republic are interesting and I really enjoyed learning about the backgrounds of the characters (except the mercenary guy since all he had were damn war stories)~! You should check out the LucasArts section on Steam since there are a lot of Star Wars games there. ^^ As for Indiana Jones games, the only one I really played was The Fate of Atlantis which is a point-and-click adventure game on the lines of The Secret of Monkey Island, Maniac Mansion, etc. I'm too lazy to Google it right now but I THINK it may have been released on console before. Maybe that's the one wyrd was referring to? There's also one for Last Crusade but I never played it before. Read that it doesn't really follow the movie much and doesn't have much of a story. :V I think there's an action-adventure one about an Emperor's Tomb or something. Dunno how that one is either though. ^^;;;;;;;;

Rashomon. Great movie, but now I'll probably have it in my head for a few days, trying to decide what "really" happened. (Even though that's kind of counter to the whole point of the movie, I suppose. )

Yes, it is a big commentary on justice and law, as in, you never really know, especially with the sort of subject matter that took place in the film.
I saw Raiders. I actually liked Temple better! O: I thought Raiders was good, and can see the difference, and why people would be dissapointed at the change in mood. I kinda hate Marian and Willie both, but I like Marian better on account of being better looking.
I also saw Kill Bill Vol. 1, what a physical reaction the movie got out of me. That's how I judge it! Did I cringe, laugh, squeel at the awesome? All three and more! A great movie, I need to see Vol. 2. It was a total action-ride of wicked.

Agreed entirely! Kill Bill 2 wasn't nearly as good -- in fact, I would go as far as to say that it was a MAJOR disappointment. They could've ended the first Kill Bill with Kill Bill 2's ending, and you wouldn't have missed out on *anything* important!

I was dragged unwittingly to see Iron Man 2. Having been unimpressed by the first I had no real intention of seeing the second. Among my friends last night, who loved it, my "It was marginally enjoyable" review was the lone dissent. I like Stark's character, but the plot, action and suspense in these movies has just felt so paper-thin that it didn't do anything for me.

Yeah, I'll still see Vol. 2 though, however.

Sounds like a plan. I'm in the middle of watching The Skeleton Key. It's amazing how fast people can put on their clothes in movies! I'm getting almost a Clock Tower-y vibe from this movie. ...Alright, time to unpause!

Ahhh, it's another one of THOSE movies! It was pretty good, though damn if that wasn't one screwed up ending! I think I get it now... So the "help" switched bodies on and on and on... and basically lived forever. That's... evil! XD[/img] // Spoilers hidden in img tags; quote me to view them.

I just saw Shrek Forever After! It was surprisingly good. I saw the trailers and I was like "well, it looks good...", and then the movie began, and I was like "ick... this is gonna flop..." and then the epic conclusion hits and you're like "whoa, that was fucking awesome!" So yeah. Shrek Forever After, great movie. Must see. // I highly doubt I ruined The Skeleton Key for you. But in case I did, I'm sorry. I figured I was cryptic enough in writing everything out.

The Princess and the Frog~!
I just decided to get the On Demand HD version. Instant gratification~!!!
I wonder if it would have been cheaper just to rent the Blu-ray disc though? I would have gotten subtitles and special features too. Oh well.
Anyway, the movie was cute. ^o^ I liked Louis and Ray more than the main characters. ^^;
Also, has there been deaths in Disney animated movies before? (Not counting villains dying.)

Bought Totoro (FINALLY) a while back, and finally watched it with a couple friends last night. Honestly, I think it's probably one of the weaker Ghibli films I've seen. It was cute! For a movie called My Neighbor Totoro, though, the titular character gets remarkably little air time.
It made me decide I do want to get Castle of Cagliostro, though. Totoro, moreso than anything else Ghibli I think, has a lot of noticeable shades of the Lupin style left in it, and something about that imagery made me want to see it. Not to mention I did kinda like Lupin when they aired it over here.
I need to track down Only Yesterday, too. Not sure if I have a player capable of viewing it on, though. Region coding/locking is so fucking stupid.

Yeah, I think mostly because of the dad. His facial expressions reminded me a lot of Lupin, especially in the bath scenes where they're all laughing hysterically.

Shrek: Forever After was surprisingly good! Unusually sweet and poignant for a Shrek movie, IMO. Granted, you still get your fair share of fractured fairytales with pop culture references and other humor -- it's still Shrek, after all -- but it seems a bit more serious and (IMO) better than the others.
My reaction is actually similar to How To Train Your Dragon ("When did Dreamworks Animation actually start making good movies instead of just zany ones?"), but not quite to the same extent -- it's still a Shrek movie, and it's not like it loses its sense of humor. It just gains something more. (My mom drew a comparison to It's a Wonderful Life, and I have to admit that the comparison is pretty spot-on -- but it's not played entirely for laughs.)
I need to remember to wait a few weeks before seeing animated movies in theaters, though... *sigh* I'm sure there were some well-behaved kids in the audience, but "well-behaved" in a movie theater basically means that the other audience members don't really notice your presence, while some of the kids definitely did draw attention to themselves. Also annoying were people who sat there playing with their phones instead of actually watching the movie they (or someone) presumably paid for. There were only one or two of them, but seeing bright lights coming from outside of the movie screen does draw my attention away from the movie screen and annoys me as a result.
...But I digress. It was a pretty good movie.
I kind of wonder if this was the originally planned end of the series, or if there were people who complained about the ending to Shrek the Third and they basically made this as a rebuttal.

The CNN reviewer gave Shrek like a D or a C-. I give that CNN reviewer two birds up and an F, for "fuck yourself". I wouldn't recommend watching the CNN reviewer, I don't recommend him for CNN or viewers of CNN. (This is a mockery of what he said about Shrek, btw.) I thought Shrek was going to be awesome when I saw the trailers. When the movie started, I thought it was going to bomb. By the epic conclusion, I was ecstatic, I'd even claim it to be one of the best Shrek (and Dreamworks) movies to date! Two thumbs up and a big "fuck you" to the CNN reviewer. Don't disappoint me, NC/Chester A. Bum. // I was watching Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind (screw you, long names!) and it seemed pretty good. Except for the part where I fell asleep because I'm sick and I need my rest. Time to watch the second half again.
