Sorry to hear that, but maybe next time you won't carry a handheld in your pocket. That's asking for trouble, if you ask me. Ahhh ICWATUDIDTHERE It was made for portable game but it broke and YES. The irony eh?

Any other importers that don't know Japanese? I ended up with the Asian version through Ebay, so no OST for me, but also no crazy Falcom shipping fee.
I really love the game, it's absolutely fantastic. The dungeon designs are fun (mindgames everywhere), and the bossfights are great too. And I've already had some gaming moments I'll never forget (Tower midboss, oh yeah!).
The inclusion of the classic soundtrack is pretty nice, but it's almost as if Falcom threw it in just to show off how epic their new version has been arranged.
Due to the language barrier and nature of the game I had to go through a lot of trial and error before fully understanding everything. I'm thinking of writing a little guide to help people out with this, and to make the game accessible for more people.
I need a bit of help with something though: what are the grey mini-obelisks/pyramids that can only be shattered once you've fully explored the floor called? They contain an item when you break them, there's one on the first floor of the Ruins, right before the stairs leading to the second floor.
Sorry for the translation request, but I found it to be kinda hard to explain stuff about something that needs such a long description in my guide.

WoW, I dint know that. At first I thought they were as a spot to transport to when you get the warp magic, but Ill have to try this out now. Plus, the old snes faq from gamefaqs really helps if you get stuck. You should take a look at that.

I think wyrdwad was confused when you said we'd have a "savoring friendship". Personally, I think it'd be dirty if you called it an "unsavory friendship", haha. No worries either way, we know what you meant. // Savory is also used to describe a "savory, succulent, mouth-watering steak".

Ha.... ha ~_~. Anyways.. back on topic, I cant seem to get Ruins B2 complete, if I remember correctly, there was a hole in Ruins 1 where you jump into to get you to the other outside wall where you can then go to the casino.. Im not sure ho, if some1 can help that would be cool. Plus Ares now combos when he has a sword equipped.
Edit: In the original PC and SNES version, you throw a sledge ball into th pit before the master keys that you get ad then jump in to the hole while holding the jump button. Ive tried that in the PSP version but it doesnt work T_T!!!

Yeah, those SNES faq's are pretty handy. There are some differences here and there though, for instance the sorcerer boss got shifted to floor five, and the wounded warrior at Tower F9 gives you a new sidequest. I completed it, but have no idea what the use is of the scroll he gave me... Edit: In the original PC and SNES version, you throw a sledge ball into th pit before the master keys that you get ad then jump in to the hole while holding the jump button. Ive tried that in the PSP version but it doesn't work T_T!!! Didn't work for me either, guess they changed that too. I can't really help with you completing Ruins F2. If you're actually stuck, the only thing I can think of is that you missed the chest with the keys and dimensional box that is found behind the place where the rolling boulder came from. If it's about completing the map so you can scatter the grey pyramid, I can help even less. Just check your map for spots that look too empty, and don't forget to hug all the walls.

Ive completed the ruins I'm in the tower now, I was just wanting to get 100% for the ruins B2 level and was hoping to nab the warp magic but the method of trying to get there is different like you said. And umm what side quest does the old man ask for you to do.. I compleletly missed this!!!

It's the wounded warrior at Floor 9 of the Tower, the guy that says he got mauled by monsters while trying to solve the switch puzzle.
Once you solve the puzzle and go back to him, he'll give you his armor as thanks. Talk to him again, and he'll give you his broken sword, with a request to let his girlfriend over at Tower F1 fix it. Backtrack (hope you had enough money to buy the Warp magic at Tower F6) to the shop on Tower F1, and you'll get a nice unbreakable sword. Give this to the wounded warrior, and he'll give you a piece of paper.
I have found no use for this item though, I might have been better off stealing his repaired unbreakable sword.

I maxed my mag res stat before I got to Tower in like an hour 0_0 If you rest and get hit my a mag attack youll go up by about 33%, so do it 3 times and you gain a stat level. The sorcerer boss I think is the best place to max it out cuz you can enter and leave the room quickly in case you get low on health.

I boosted my magic resistance from ~30 to 99 in exactly 14 minutes on Tower F9. (with a few deaths induced by overconfidence included)
Once you get past the area with the warps, you'll end up in a room with a few holes and a lot of walking monster sorcerers. Kill all but one, head to the exit that does not have a pit in front of it. The monster won't follow you beyond the door, so go into rest mode and take a few hits. When another hit would kill you flee through the door, rest, and repeat.
I think my method was faster because you've got more HP by the time you're at Tower F9, so you can take more hits and level faster.

Yea, with the level I was at, I could only take 3 hits, Ill keep that in mind for the next time I play tru, which will be right after I beat it ^_^. By the way, do you have the warp magic yet, I was thinking of a way to get to the other areas of the Ruins 2 basement.

I got the warp magic from the shop at Tower Floor 6. The one with the elf lady. It costs a whopping 150.000 gold though, so I hope you have saved up a bit. Warping eats up your entire MP bar though, so you want to have some M. Potions with you when you use it. Take care not to use M. Poisons I thought my game glitched the first time I used one.

M and H Poisons actaully built up your mag and mag res in the snes versions(I think), but you know how you can fiddle with the map, like darken areas or what not, try to add a black square to the right side of ruins basement 2 where you fall in from the hole(the one that if you jump in will get you the rest of the area) and see if you can warp to that point. 0_0... hopefully this works.

Heh, no way that's gonna work! Marking walls red or tiles orange doesn't make doors or treasure chests appear out of thin air either now does it ...Actually, such a function would be completely awesome! Having a stage editor for this kind of game would be tons of fun
