Hey guys, I was just wondering where I can get some good new (or used if you have any) 8gb PSP memory sticks. There is this website that sells 8gb sandisk duo pro www.heymemory.com/sandisk-memory-stick-p-64.html, but Im not to sure if its worth(price looks really good and its free shipping). I have heard sandisk is actually better and cheaper than sony brands. So some input as to the best sticks and prolly the best places to buy from would be nice. Thnxx

the best way is to buy 32GB micro SD from ScanDisk and a MicroSD -> Memory Stick Duo adapter. that's the cheapest way ^_^
a friend of ,mine bought both in Japan, set him back in total of 50US$ or so, same price as an 8GB official MS Duo from Sony.

The issue with that being actual memory speed. Though if you care more about storage space than speed, that's the way to go.

I didn't say you couldn't do it, but it is slower by quite a bit. Some people have more tolerance for load times than others.

What about the MARK2 memory cards (by Sony, but I think that SanDisk have the same products) ? They are cheaper and just look like updated version of the other memory cards. Maybe they're a bit slower (not sure), but they're surely much cheaper than the non MARK2 (about half the price or more).

Sweet, thnx for the info guys. But in terms of speed, I thought it was the speed at which you can transfer files to and from the card, not actual playing speed.

if you load games from the memory stick that is the read spead...write speed isn't used...only for save games

If you do want some speed comparisons (about reading/writing/etc), just search japanese psp blogs. They usually post about that.
