I'm glad everyone likes them! I've always thought they were really nice wallpapers and wanted them for myself too and I though who better to share them with then the devoted Ys fanbase here? Within the files, there are also some other wallpapers, but they are just variants of these. Some are the ones with the new characters and are the exact same ones as above but just with the characters showing a few different expressions... The other ones of interest were the ones above...but basically in sketch form. They are actually pretty nice in that form... Thanks for the rips, Liquidpolicenaut. By the way, how did you rip the graphics? I could use that knowledge. It was a bitch to find and I think I tried like 4 different ones until I finally got it. The program is called XnView and its a small enough program. It also helped in extracting the sound effects and speech (not the actual soundtrack however) from the Ys I-II Eternal Story disc...

By the way, how did you rip the graphics? I could use that knowledge. I also am very curious as to which software or method you used to rip these. Perhaps this could be used even to rip other artworks from other PS2 Ys games! Ys III PS2 had some, as well as Ys VI PS2. (By the way, I BET there's an unused Lilia artwork or something withing Ys IV PS2 too. I'd love to try to find it out!) EDIT: Oh, we posted at the same time. Thanks for letting us know! EDIT2: Ah, I know. In the game, it takes some time for the 2 side-characters to finish their drawings, so you can see the "paintings" before they are finished. Indeed, they are also nice to look at. I bet each had a background of its own color too.

No prob on steering everyone to the right program. I've asked about other programs on other boards and no one ever wants to seem to give out their "secret" programs...like it's some huge secret! Damn selfish people! lol I tried the Ys III PS2 disc and....nothing The files are actually in totally different formats than the ones on the Ys I-II disc (pretty obvious since they were done by two different companies). I've only played, but don't own, Ys IV and V for the PS2 so maybe I should track them down....or maybe not lol Ah, so THATS what the "smudge" is! You are also right about the colors! I believe I saw black/gray, red, blue and green...

Very nice job with the rips! I was searching for ways to rip these images as well, but I couldn't find a decent program to work well for the Mac. Thanks for recommending a program to use!

If you want to just send me the images...or any Ys related stuff, I will host them for free.
I have my own web server with unlimited bandwidth

I have a couple of questions about Wallpapers F and H. First off, in both of them...is that Lilia?
The other one is this: In H, who is that she's got a hold of?
