Does anyone have the turbografx-cd addon they want to get rid of? Ill buy or trade! Has to be working though no matter the cosmetic condition...hell the top could be ripped off of it just as long as it powers on and spins up! After making a test copy of Ranma 1/2 today I was going to pop it in my system (which has been in storage forever) but the cd drive will not spin up a disc. All powers on and the systems are locked. I have the System CD Card in and all.....I guess it just went out maybe from being in heat from storage??? Here is a picture of the system Im talking about the cd part atop the system is what im looking for.....Just incase a few are not sure! retro-treasures.blogspot.com/2007/05/turbografx-16-with-turbo-cd-add-on.html :)Thanks

I have that very same TG and CD add-on and cartridge and all. xD But sorry, mine has been broken for over 13 years now.
If I was you, I'd stick with an emulator, in all honesty. It isn't worth the trouble to find another add-on. And if you do, it'll likely break in a not long period of time.

It's definitely one of the more expensive systems to get a hold of through ebay; I know because I spent many months hoping to get ANYTHING Turbo-CD-Hardware-related for under a hundred bucks.
I guess the fact that there's no decent/easy/free emulator ramps up the demand.

Yeah, I've been searching for one too actually, but they kind of sky rocket right at the last moments of the auction on ebay. The last one I saw shot up to 200 dollars! : 0
But there are other choices out there such as Magic Engine for PC / Mac, or my personal favorite way of playing Turbo-CD games:
A Modified Xbox using the MednafenX emulator. This is by far the best and easiest way to play PC-Engine / Turbo-CD games if you have to use an emulator, since you can play it on your television. Also, it gives access to taking screenshot sequences on the fly, and save states. I mean you can do that in Magic Engine too I guess, but it's so much easier with an Xbox controller. It'll play your original discs too, which is a major plus.

I want the feel of the actual controller and the look of the original screens and to be able to show off the system. If I used emulators such as magic engine or znes etc. I just hook my laptop to my 52" Flat screen through HDMI and play on that monster (fullscreen)! The other plus to that is I have a wireless gaming reciever for the 360 controller so I can chill out on the couch and its like Im playing the game but its a pain in the ass when you want to stop or switch games cause you gotta get up and get on the floor with the mouse and keyboard all that shit. *Update* I found ONE website that sells the turbo grafx cd player that I need but its white..... They have 21 in stock and are all tested and working. They cost $45.00 + S/H! Not a bad deal....So Im going to order one from there. ALTHOUGH if anyone still wants to get rid of anything Turbografx/duo/express etc. wise I will be willing to buy or trade! Thanks ALL! *UPDATE*I have been ofcourse checking ebay around alot since I posted this thread and I just wanted to say that I found a Turboduo in good condition with original box, turbopad, and cords! The auction had 30 minutes or so left and so I kept and eye on it the bidding was up to $60.00. I figured it would sky rocket in the last 5 minutes but it didn't! I place a dutch bid(when you bid at last minute) of $81.51 and got the item for $72.00! Even though I won this Im still interested in getting my other system to working again since it was going to be the guinea pig for the Region Mod!
