This IS going to play like Smash Bros., though, if the combat system is built on Ys Seven's engine. I mean, just think about it! A fighting game built on Ys Seven's engine. Try to picture that in your head... it's awesome, no? (: Plus, Falcom's already said there'll be an ample single-player campaign. I'm not expecting much from it story-wise, but hey, it's an excuse to kick some ass using the Ys Seven engine, so how can I complain? ;) But will there be goofy items on the battlefield!? I want punching bags with blinking dotty eyes, bazookas, plates of curry EVERYWHERE -- that sort of stuff. :P You can't goofy fight with regular attacks and special skills alone!

I don't foresee Falcom including strange usable objects in the game. :P

They're including all these characters from other games, though, as "support characters" - sounds like they're going to be almost like the poke-balls in Smash Bros.! OMG. Just the thought of having PEOPLE pop up of Pokeball-like things ... ^^;;;;;;;;;

What we really need for this to be an instant 'okay I'm buying this' is for the party from Sorcerian to be an Assist Trophy or whatever
