Hi Guys I know this will sound a strange request for most of you but there is a reason. Since i'm translatin ' YsF to italian I need a complete savegame to test all the items' translations. I mean: I finished the game several times but unfortunately I wasn't able to grab all the items, I have two missin' items in the inventory ad also a sword and an armor. Since i have to test my translations on screen, I can't do that without a complete savegame. Is there somebody who can help me? Thank you in adavance

I'm missing 2 items on all of my saves. The 3rd and 4th slot on second line on the bottom. Are you sure there are items for those slots. I can get you a save with all equipment though.

Everything but one of the Rubies, which I don't think matters. :)
edit: pmd you the link. Limited downloads, plus I suppose other people getting it would be lame of them. :P

Ugh, my complete OiF saves have been long lost. xD But I know you can fill in all of those slots, yes. I was even doing an item and bugs FAQ (almost finished it...).
I recall it wasn't hard to find them... =s (Unlike the predecessor, Ys VI, in which is REALLY difficult to find out everything without "third party" support.)

I just checked a FAQ and it's looks like my files are missing the Augite Brooch, and The fighting Gods Seal. The Augite Brooch is a timed quest, and it has to be hard to find unless you are checking a faq.
The Fighting Gods seal seems a little tricky too. The Faq says to give the Jade Ring to Randolph in the Inn. However if you enter the shop with it, the Shopkeeper will automatically notice it in your inventory, and offer to trade you and Amulet, and a Mirror for it. It's a ripoff, but since she offers, I always though that what you were supposed to do with it.
BTW I started a new game and used cheats to get the 1000 ravel ore to trade to Antonio, and Randolph didn't react to the ring. Is this quest time based? I doubt it's due to the cheats, since they don't affect anything else.

I'm not sure, myself. I didn't hand the ring off to Randolph 'til I came back from Genos Island to upgrade my weapon and armor. :x

Yes, you CAN'T return him the Jade ring until you have progressed enough in the game's story. I'm 100% sure.
This very case was ripped off from Ys VI actually, in which you can either sell an Event Item (some special drink) or exchange it for another item, only to exchange said item with the guy you could have sold the drink to beforehand.
Ys VI's was a bit tricky (again)... But YsOiF not so much, because at the time you're able to give/sell the Jade Ring, if you talk to the Garman mercenary, he will say that he lost some ring, his most important possession, and that without it he cannot face his family ever again or something.

I think you're wrong, Red. In VI you could sell the drink to a guy in Port Rimorge or exchange it with someone else in the Rehdan Village, it wasn't the same person.
Anyway, if you still need the file, doppi, I got a complete one.

I think you're wrong, Red. In VI you could sell the drink to a guy in Port Rimorge or exchange it with someone else in the Rehdan Village, it wasn't the same person. That's true, and that's what I said (though I didn't specify where). But I said one more thing: you exchange the item with someone in the Rehdan Village for another item, and THAT other item can be exchanged for ANOTHER item with that guy in Port Rimorge that WOULD HAVE bought that FIRST item. But the second item is exchanged for another one (Silver Lucky Coin or something like that) instead of being sold, like the first item. There are 3 items involved in total: The Drink, the Gold Locket, the Silver Lucky Coin. In YsOiF there are only 2: Jade Ring and that War God Talisman of sorts.

Was the file file I sent you missing more than just the third Ruby? I just checked and I'm certain I have every inventory slot filled. Maybe I uploaded the wrong one... :x

In the INVENTORY submenu, you are missing [AUGITE BROOCH]. It is the one you get doing that special side-quest we previously talked about.
In the EQUIPMENT submenu, you are missing, aside the precious stones, the ''Spirit Cape'' (or whatever it's called) in which you acquire in Illburn Ruins before the Lava section. You have to bust a wall using Earth Magic. It's impossible to miss the wall during your way through the ruins. As for the missing sword, I can't recall its name (probably "Battle Sword"), but I'm 100% sure of its location. You can find it in the sewers of Valestein Castle. It's inside a chest surrounded by 4 of those giant plant enemies. It isn't too tricky to get to it...
Also, I don't know if it interests you (or Ashurei), but I'm inclined to think the missing Ruby you guys didn't find is the one inside Genos Island. It is in a room with one of those crazed, laser-beaming giant monsters around. It was in some platform. I don't remember more than that, at least out of my head...

I remember getting to Genos Island and wondering why I never found that 3rd one so I just looked it up. It's probably the one in the Ilburn's Ruins, based on what the guide told me. I just couldn't be arsed to go back and get it. It's not like I used the fire magic, anyways.

Doppiapunta, check my files again, they should have a completed equipment screen, minus 1 fire gem.
