Theme of Adol

Not sure if I should make a seperate thread for this or not.....

The song Theme of Adol has appeared in every Ys game except Ark of Napishtim and Origin as a remix or modified version based off of the original. This list was made based on the information I found and I also compared the songs myself. I am just doing this, because I like the song.

Ys:
-it was an unused song in the MSX PC-88,FM-7/77 and FM-77AV versions (www.youtube.com/watch?v=5WraSB-nZF0)(thank you, Red Hairdo, for pointing out the mistake)
-the intro for the PC-engine version (www.youtube.com/watch?v=_TgoTm0fXBM)
-unused song in Ys Complete (file name:YS1&2OP_22.wav; starts at 1:57)

Ys 2:
-unused song in the PC-98 version (see first link)
-some people say, that the canal theme is based off of the song, but I cannot tell
-Ys Book I & II, obviously (see above)

Wanderers of Ys/Oath in Felghana:

-apparently the Illburns Ruins song is another version of the theme, but again, I cannot tell

And now for something unrelated: the song "Chop!!" was first used for miniboss fights in the X68000 version of Ys III before it begame Chester"s battle theme in Oath (www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQa3iRRVB7Q)

Also, as for Ys I, it wasn't used in the MSX2 version. Nor do I think there's even leftover data of it in it. And the video you linked us too plays the PC-8801/PC-9801 tune (and maybe the FM-7/FM-77/FM-77AV tunes also sound the same, but I'm not sure. I also wonder about the X-1 version.)

A remix of Theme of Adol 1993 is also used in Ys Online, by the way.

Red Hairdo - I have no idea, why I mistook it for an MSX song, proabably the scanlines(i am such an idiot ). Also, yes, I just found the Ys Online version. I"m suprised they didn"t mark it as a remix like the other songs. Also, the Sharp X-1 version of Ys. I think it uses In Memory instead of Morning Glow. And is there any way to check if the X-1 version has leftover data of Theme of Adol?

wyrdward - Aside from the diffrent tempo, yeah, very simmilar. And I have to say The Road Where Dragons Sleep is a very nice song. Somewhat reminds me of another composer(can"t remember).

And yes, Typing of Ys is difficult (where is the apostrophe when you need it? ).

About the X-1 version, I really have no idea. I failed miserably at finding the Ys ROMs and emulators for most of those japanese computers, namely: X-1, FM-7, FM-77, FM-77AV, PC-8801. As for the PC-9801 emulator, I found it with the help of a member here, but I had no luck with getting functional Ys I-III ROMs. I either have no luck or just am a bad "searcher".
