...and so everything is jerky and it bothers my eyes. I read somewhere that there is an option to set the frame rate but I don't see it anywhere.

Out of curiosity, what are your computer's specs? I have a relatively crappy laptop that only has like 444 megs of RAM and I still run this game perfectly fine with no trouble.

Core 2 Duo, 3 gigs ram, radeon HD4850... my PC is fine. I just reinstalled the game and played it without the translation patch... smooth 60 fps. Installed the patch again--19 fps. So the patch seems to be screwing me somehow... any ideas?

No one has any ideas? What could the patch have changed to cause the frame rate to drop? I've searched everywhere and haven't found any useful information. I'd liked to have posted the issue on the patch's official forum, but the guy limits his forum registration to donators.

I just got a response to my email... apparently the patch scans to see whether you have a Radeon card and installs a Radeon-specific patch if it finds one. Well I've got a newer Radeon and I guess it doesn't need the fix/isn't compatible with the fix. NightWolve sent me the exe that would have been installed on a non-Radeon machine and now it works fine.

Is this file available anywhere? I'm having the same problem and I bet many other people are as well.
