Erm, since all the gameplay discussion is split between 2 threads that aren't exactly specific to it (XD!!!), I figure there should be one for it. Here be my questions~! - Do accessories that up the chance of getting stuff or increase the amount of money you get from enemies stack if you put them on all three active party members?
- What exactly do you do during an EXTRA skill attack? ^^ Yeah, I'm like 20+ hours into the game and never really figured that out. Does it just give you the chance to spam attacks and skills freely before it ends with some special attack? Or is it all automatic? ^^;;;;;
Also, is the second (and third) EX attacks just extensions/add-ons or is there a way to select them?

I don't know on the accessories thing. I've never tried to abuse that. XD It usually doesn't stack in other games, so I assumed as much. I was hoping it'd work for the gold one since there are some items or weapons that are about 200000 each that I want to get! Problem is, the wallet's only at ~380000 at the moment. XD Guess I should go back to selling the hundreds of materials. Oh man, that walking-to-get-experience item is useful! I just slap it on anyone that's lagging in levels (which always happens when a new character joins), shove them into the active group, and the voila! They're caught up. XD! Too bad it only works in enemy-filled areas or else I would have just rolled around in a village until level up. XD (Kidding. That'd be really lame.)

What level were you guys at when you fought the boss at the Shannoa Great Tree? I'm at 12 on Hard Mode and it's pretty tough ._.

Hey guys, got a question from a non reader of Japanese. For those who have finished the game I'm looking for a way into the monument in that one town. (People who have played should know what I'm talking about.) Been hoofing around all over the place and can't think of where the last Event item is, because I think it's what I need.
Any help is appreciated, thanks.
Just a standard direction would be helpful.

I'm close to beating the spider thing at 11 on Hard. I'm being persistent and refusing to grind up to a fair level, and I really don't want to use potions, either. Yeah, I'm freakin' HARDCORE.
So far I've gotten it down to about 1500HP before pooping out. Once I get avoiding those damn poison bubbles down (both green and purple ones), I should be able to beat it no problem.

Done. Many tries later I managed to scrape by with a win. It's not bad once you realize you shouldn't use Adol at all until you actually are damaging him

... why not Adol? He's twice as powerful for me as Dogi and Elk. :/

Exactly, which is why you should save him for actually hitting the head. Dogi was alot more effective in destroying the legs
Anyway, I'm back at Arthago Port and couldn't go into the throne room because of a meeting or something. I went into the side room outside of the palace and talked to Scyas. Now I'm supposed to go talk to Draizen, apparently? Where is he, I can't find him.

From the palace courtyard area head right instead of straight - he's in the building you see there.

Is the accessory you speak of the one that gives +5 defense and sells for 5000G?

Just got to Zagram, and I want to craft the ワールレ but apparently there's some sort of bone and some sort of mineral that I'm short on.(it's the top and bottom materials). What are they and where do I get them?

Generally speaking you can find most crafting materials you need at a given point in the game either in the area preceding the village or the area right after it. So run around in the desert or the shrine past Segram and pick up whatever you find. I don't remember how far in this item is received (its early on, I think), but the very last usable item in the triangle menu functions somewhat like the Bestiary Potion from Ys I/II. Above the enemy's healthbar will be a portrait and a list of all synthesis items that they can drop - so you can use that as a reference to speed up your gathering as well.
But yeah, your best bet is the desert.

I've been checking the guidebook on bosses every time I defeat one and my trend seems to be 2 - 3 levels above the boss (on Normal). Shannoa Tree boss itself is level 10, BTW. Wow. I was totally oblivious to this item. I think it's still sitting in my Item list. :P I actually bought some Mirrors too but I've yet to use them to see if monsters get FASCINATED!! or not. Anyway, the 砂熱石 and 獣の大骨 are both in the desert as Ashurei mentioned. From what I can tell though, they're harvest-only from those little croppings in ground and not from monsters in the area. I know a lot of us can't really read Japanese but I still use this site when I need to do quick look ups of stuff (and to copy and paste into Nifty Translate XD). Google isn't that bad for translations either but I'd stab Babelfish 10,000 times before I rely on that alone.

What are they and where do I get them? You can try searching through the bestiary to see any of the monsters that you've fought before drop it. I had to do that before I killed the final boss to make some armor. Don't know what I would've done without that quick referencing.

I beat the spiderfly boss, finally. Level 11, Hard mode, used most of my potions. I learned a few things that should have been obvious after the first try... -The poison bubbles it shoots are easier to dodge by just walking between them than by trying to roll out of the way of the entire spread; -The mobs that shoot out the EEEEEVIL purple bubbles don't attack you if you don't attack them, apparently; -Getting one of your characters trapped in the spiderfly's tongue is a great way to deal a little extra damage (it helped defeat it more quickly, as by the last stun rush it was at 70hp, so one ensnare and it's dead); -Dogi is even more useless with Heavy. Though that's really obvious, anyway. Also, he does critical damage to the legs (about 40-60 per hit for me). -There are no attacks you can safely flash guard in this fight. That really messed me up. NEVER, EVER try flash guarding its charge, you'll just get hit for double the damage that you would have otherwise. It's easier to roll out of the way. I'm considering restarting on Nightmare, btw, but I don't know if it would be too insane for me, despite my agility with rolling and guarding. Being underleveled doesn't help much, either.

Okay, so I just beat the Dragon in the Great Tree (epic fight, btw). The way to the other two shrines are blocked by guards though. How do I get to those ones?

You have to open the paths with the red symbols on the rock walls with the bell. I beat the spiderfly boss, finally. Level 11, Hard mode, used most of my potions. And half the time, I couldn't see which damn legs needed whacking because all three characters just crowded the bloody area.
