I know there's alot more factors than I let on in my earlier bit, I tried to make it sound all jovial... but I know it's touchy stuff for more than some, so plz know I was trying to be silly. >_>
The whole economy thing's hurting everyone. I know I'm fearful for my current job ... I swear our workload has decreased to a small fraction of what it used to be. People would rather suffer than pay medical fees these days, so we don't see a whole lot of action (lol medical billing).

I feel the sting on my budget too. Work just cut down my hours again, I'm only on 3 days a week now, ffs.
I depended on at least 5 just to survive, I don't know what I'm gonna do, I have a family to take care of. Damn, I'm only 20, yet I feel 50 with shit like this happening. I'm scared I'm gonna be a worthless person and let my family down...

A couple of things to try:
-Make sure all of your plugins are shut off. You can check these on the recovery console. If it works, try turning them back on.
-Also try mucking with the UMD settings, also in the recovery console. I think there are two different NoUMD options (I forget what they're called), try both.
-I think I missed which CFW you have but make sure it's the absolute latest 5.50 GENB2 just to be certain.
I had a similar weird problem with Ys Chronicles. Ys II worked fine but Ys I crashed the same way you described. This was on 3.80 though. Once I upgraded and mucked with the settings, it worked fine.
I'm going to say it's PROBABLY the UMD mode, because I think I remember a few games also having the same issue, and that fixed it.

I was actually fiddling around with recovery mode to see if I could find anything to help the topic starter but I tried that and it didn't make a difference. My game always started even with RJL plug-ins activated. The only issue I've encountered was loading a saved game while using RJL but Unsavory's already suggested a fix for that. (Ahaha. Just noticed the last post was from Oct 12. XD XD XD)

Since this was bumped, GEN-D is out now and apparently runs most of the protected games just fine, even the UMDs. I haven't upgraded yet to try it out, though.

I probably won't upgrade until there's absolutely no way of loading newer games on CFW under 5.50 or whatever.

I still cant get it to load. UMD or ISO.
I dont know why.. I am going to Gamstop, and buying a used psp. So I can have one with the official firmware.

And most of the time, the persons who create such topic DON'T have the game(s). You are right. But I am not most of the persons. I have supported Falcom since I was a kid. I still have every Falcom game I have ever owned, from PC engine to Ys7. I can take a picture of my Falcom collection if you really dont believe me. Only reason I dont switch back to the Sony firmware is I dont have a pandora battery, or an extra battery to make a pandora with. I just got a new psp, and it works fine. both the ISO and the UMD. My psp was messed up. It plays almost all new games, but Ys 7 always froze on that psp. I am SO excited to start this game. Finally!!
