I kind of like the SNES soundtrack a bit more than the PCECD one..

You can grab it in SPC format at www.zophar.net/music/spc/Ys-iv-mask-of-the-sun-.htmlAll you need then is a plugin or program that let's you play SPC-files. I used to use one called Meridian Advance, but since it doesn't seem to work properly on my current PC I'm not sure if I should recommend it or not. Worth a try.. at least. ^^

Sure, but not directly. You'll have to record the songs into WAV files, edit and convert. That's the only way I know of. A bit awkward but at least you can decide for yourself how many times each track should loop. I had a quick look at zophar.nets list of SPC-players. This one seems to be very recent and it supports WAV recording. www.zophar.net/utilities/spc/jcom-spc.html

I recommend to use Winamp with Chipamp installed.
With Chipamp you can use Winamp to play SPC, GYM, NSF, PSF, PSF2, USF, 2SF, VGM, VGZ, GBS, and much more other formats.
I use it...

Foobar 2000 is my favourite media player by far and is currently at its 1.0 milestone!! www.foobar2000.org/downloadwiki.hydrogenaudio.org/index.php?title=Foobar2000:Components_0.9Some development stuff regarding some of the formats mentioned on this thread.... Should you wish to experiment!! As for Ys IV SNES Soundtrack in mp3 I cannot directly answer the query however I have a link which houses a large majority of Ys Soundtracks however I am not sure of the 'integrity' of posting this link here. I feel that it might be crossing some boundary in terms of 'piracy' or whatever. If anyone with authority knows of 'snesorama' then could they verify whether it is acceptable to post a link within this domain??? Many thanks!!

The SPC set at SNESmusic.org has all the tracks named, which I believe Zophar doesn't have. (please correct me if I'm wrong) click
