Hi Everyone,
I'm planning on visiting my mother over the next few days who is a professional pianist and I decided that since we have a perfectly good full-sized piano keyboard with midi-out ports, why not see if I can get her to record some cool Falcom tracks and such just to see how it might work out for mixing purposes later. : )
I've got sheet music for La Valse Pour Xanadu that I'd like her to play and I might see if she can transcribe sheet music for the Stage Clear/Synchronicity track from Brandish that I've become quite fond of lately.
But I wanted to also see if there was some Ys sheet music that is already scanned or online somewhere that I could possibly get her to record as well if it exists.
Thanks!
-Thomas

Wasn't someone else asking about this not too long ago...? Anyway, a brief search revealed this excerpt from a Ys III sheet music book: ancoliedesign.com/captainsalez/ys3/DSC01138.JPGNot sure if that's what you're looking for, but it's all I could find (I didn't search too hard =p).

I'm pretty sure there ARE threads about Ys Music Sheets. At least one. Perhaps even two threads. I couldn't find them though, but they are somewhere here.

Wow, that's a really cool idea! Does anyone know the Japanese term for "piano sheet"? I've got this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=95MHInlVMzs&feature=channelWhich is a song played using a music sheet from a certain Falcom CD for a track that was not recorded on the disc! It's a remix of the piano version of the main menu screen to Brandish 2 PC98. The Piano Collection version is a bit better, but still, it's a sheet. That guy's awesome btw, he covered the entire Brandish Piano Collection while learning how to play the piano. Here's his Synchronicity/Stage Clear. He even did some Brandish 3 songs by ear! www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2f65B2v6BY&feature=channel

Thanks for the posts and feedback everyone, and I appreciate the offer for scanning those Ys sheet music pages, Floofy. That would defintely be a cool item to have on your site sometime. Though, I just got back from my visit, and she was really only able to work on La Valse Pour Xanadu, so there's no rush! : )
And Sardian, cool Brandish links too! That would be fun to get some Brandish sheet music. I guess it must exist in some official form, or he was able to transcribe it to manuscript using a computer program and printed it out. That would definitely be nice to look for or to figure it out by ear, just in case there is well... another Brandish game made by fans someday. : )

Man, that's pretty much everything from Ys I & II. Thanks for posting MP83!
I wish I could record this myself... I used to play piano when I was younger, and quite badly. Maybe it's time to pick it back up again. : )

Hello everyone. Could be possible to upload again those sheets? I am very interested about playing piano with Ys themes. Thank you.

I concur with... the guy with the complicated username. There is a lot of Ys music I would love to Piano to, but I can never find sheets (and my ear isn't quite excellent enough to do it that way).

I was just thinking of this the other day. I'm starting to teach myself piano and would love to play some Falcom pieces in the future. I've only been able to find sheets for Shrine of Eidos.
