True, the gore is still present in Chronicles. xD Not that I mind it.

I watch with avid interest on this thread.. I am keen to enjoy some Ys Felghana action on my PSP so I wait with baited breath for this... I notice that some peeps appreciate the voice acting... Whilst I personally have enjoyed the US dubs of Ys I, II, III on PCE-CD I must admit that I normally am put off by 'Vocal Talent' on JRPG's as a rule (Just my weird little thing... lol) but I always try to keep an open mind. On a very slight side note. I wanna play PC Felghana but I think I am gonna struggle on the PC that I have (aka My GF's laptop)... Oh and on the issue of 2d/3d on PSP, just think PSP=PSX 1.5 and your half way there. PSP is good at 3d however the screen will show up any frame rate issues much easier (naturally).... On the subject of fps/speed/slowdowns.... Its a touchy subject and one that I will broach very delicately but if your PSP has custom firmware then you can overclock the UMD and XMB to 333mhz (Or even more... Not entirely sure) and of course that all but solves these little issues. I don't own Ys Seven so I cannot confirm this to work on THAT particular game however if it works on games that slowdown in software (in other words program/code) then my logic should stand firm however please feel free to put me straight if you have experience with PSP CFW! I get excited about stuff like this because I just wanna dive in and play but I have sworn that I will play the Ys titles in order! So I am bound by that new resolution!! (Plus my GF will kill me! lol) I think about at least attempting to install PC Felghana if only to 'test' it. Temptation is a crazy beast! Maybe I could hide my PSP?? Apologies for the 'wayward' nature of my post there but suffice to say that Felghana PSP might end up being the only way I can play Felghana at the moment...

There goes the toaster console again. xD
Anyway, yeah, I forgot to say I overclocked my PSP, too. xD

I was just assuming the gore was removed for OiF PSP since it got a B rating and not a C or D.

Well, you can battle Berhardt on YsF PC.

From what I heard, you fight him on Nightmare's Time Attack. You can also fight the Black Pikkard secret boss after finishing YsF on Inferno as well.

I played on Very Easy, Easy, Normal and Hard. I think I have played through Normal about 4 times, though, because whenever I finished the game on Normal, somehow not long after for some reason I end up losing my data files. xDDDD So, there I go, once again, playing on Normal to unlock Hard, in order to unlock Nightmare, in order to unlock Inferno. It pisses me off at times, since I'd rather just play YsF once, and on Inferno, both of which I didn't. Grrr. And then, I'd like to get the most out of Time Attack.
... Hm... Didn't someone here recently uploaded a save file at the end of Nightmare mode or something...? ... Bah, nevermind, I'll try to finish my Normal to Nightmare playthroughs as fast as possible. It should be a breeze with some bugs like the pretty-much-instant-lv60 one. (Of course I wouldn't use those for my Inferno playthrough.)

Berhardt shows up at the end if you do the complete time attack on Nightmare. I can't stress how much I hate Chester II Also beating Berhardt unlocked the ability to enable a bunch of cheat codes. Dunno if the Black Pikkard does the same since I already had it available at that point. I don't think there is a way to fight Berhardt during the course of the game.. only in Nightmare Time Attack

Is there an Inferno Time Attack? xD If there is, wouldn't both Berhardt and the Black Pikkard be expected there?

Is there an Inferno Time Attack? xD If there is, wouldn't both Berhardt and the Black Pikkard be expected there? Very Easy and Inferno don't have time attacks. When I first learned of the patch that added those difficulties, I was scared out of my mind at the idea of having to play through Inferno time attack when Nightmare gave me enough problems.

Man, I need to try it out ASAP.

Aside from the monsters being slightly stronger, there is virtually no difference between nightmare and inferno.

Yikes, Inferno Time Attack is in this time. Plus something else called "Extra" (maybe this is just Berhard + black Pikkard?) W. Boost gives HP regen, and perhaps normal Boost too? At 1:42 (Berhard) Adol is recovering health, and the Boost gauge isn't depleting nearly as quickly as at 1:07 where the W. Boost is shown. And we have a couple of "impossible" feats being shown off, like a level 8-9 Adol double-jumping in Tigray Quarry (0:50). Maybe there'll be some new debug cheats to play with?

I HATE CHESTER II I'd like to see 3 black Pikkards but the bullet spam would probably cause too much slowdown.

Unfortunately, people like me thinks Inferno is hardly a challenge. I've beaten some bosses in Inferno with low stats. Gah, I can't even get to inferno mode and you're claiming it's too easy? You must have fighter pilot reflexes dude. I'm jealous. I think I'm most looking forward to what they do with the soundtrack. I know they're releasing a CD with it, but I wonder if they'll throw in any of the new (using the word 'new' loosely of course) tracks.

We shall see if the new arrangements are in the games soundtrack. (as in appears in the game) But, I am sure the new arrangements will appear in the JDK Special CD. I actually put the description of the CD located in falcom's online catalog and put it through google translate. It mentioned that it will have new arrangements. I quote ""Ys - Oath in Fergana -" to select from a number of popular songs, jdk band participated in the new arrangement! Number of special arrangements for this CD can be listened to only the people can enjoy treasured edition! Here is the google translated site itself: translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.falcom.co.jp%2Fmailorder%2Fcatalog%2F921.htmlAlso did anyone notice that the song "Boys on Wings" sounded different in the trailer. (not talking about the end)

Uh, isn't it something like "The Boy has Wings"?
And that new trailer doesn't have me excited at all. It's ... Felghana all over again. Yay?

I know the song name had something with a Boy having wings, I could have double checked the song name when I was writing the post, but I was in a rush to finish it.
