I got it only for the... I should refrain from hyping it any more now symphonic trance Beat of Destruction. But some of the other tracks were actually pretty damn good as well. A Valestein arrange that I enjoy, imagine that!
Can't say anything else stood out quite as much, but the old standbys The Boy's Got Wings and Wanderers From Ys got pretty nice arranges. Oh, and the Descendant of Genos arrange is actually better then the original, surprisingly enough.
But it's still only worth getting for the MOTHERFUCKING TRANCE BEAT OF DESTRUCTION. The best Falcom JDK track ever, now in an even more amazing format. Seriously, it's like the best thing I've heard all year. It just gets better and better every time I hear it. And it had me crying manly tears the first time.

Beat of Destruction -- isn't that the horrid Genos Island theme? Well I already made obvious how I feel about that song.

The Youtube user put the Felghana SAV and JDK special in the same playlist. The JDK special starts on #10 with "Descendant of Genos" and anything after that is the JDK special. I hope that answers your question. Here is the tracklist on VGMdb vgmdb.net/album/17211

Hmm, I'm glad all of the tracks are up on youtube. I think I would have been a little dissappointed if I had bought the cd. I think all of the tracks are well done... just more of them are orchestral styled than I prefer.

The [PSPver] next to The Boy's Got Wings doesn't mean that this is how it sounds in game, does it?
THis is REALLY weak compared to the PC version..

Its the same Boy's Got wing that was in the 2nd trailer and that version sounded like it was from the SAV version.
The PC version is the one that is in the game.

well, i should say it's not so bad, but not so great as i was expecting, many track are good, some other lack in power, and maybe too much symphonic tracks, and except descendant of genos, there are no other rock tracks, and i don't know why, from all the good voices they have there, they used THAT for the last track, i really don't like her, she already ruined the ending songs for Ys chronicles, and i don't like her in the last track of this cd too in the end, i should say i'm quite disappointed and deluded in some way
btw, someone know where i could find that image with dularn and adol, that is put as background for the descendant of genos track???

She's certainly not a bad number two, after Shoko Minami! xD

I think you're thinking of Hiroko Yamawaki. Shoko Minami sang Endless History (The Morning Grow), my fave Falcom vocal. Absolutely beautiful voice, right?.

Actually, I don't think Falcom could resist. I don't know all the albums she's appeared on, BUT she sings Termination.....which I seem to recall you have a pretty love/hate (can't remember which!) relationship with! LOL!
And she sings my second fave Falcom vocal. Love the intro. And the rest.

But yeah, I felt the same way.

Searing Struggle was on the JDK Special?
Also, I love that they actually experimented a bit with the tracks this time around. In fact, Descendant of Genos was my least favorite on the album, and the Valestein arrange is the first one I've actually liked. Which speaks volumes. Sorry guys, but if I want to hear wankery, I'll listen to modern Dream Theater. And I never do. So yeah.

i like endless history too, it's absolutely my favorite singed song from falcom, and i like her voice too
the searing struggle that there's in that playlist is from the super arranged versione of felghana, there's no searing struggle track in the jdk special
btw i agree with wyrdwad, that valestine castle track is the one i like the least from all the arrangement probably(well, actually there are some synth arrangement that don't sound that good too XD) for the rest, TOO MUCH slow tracks i think, and i don't agree with the choice of the tracks, most of them are in the SAV too, they could have put some other track instead of them, not considering that descendant of genos is not even a game track, it just appeared in the pre-arrange cd, and i think there were more important track that could have take its place btw, it's just good for listening, but far away from a great album

i don't think so, i mean, yes it sound similar to dear my brother, but absolutely it's not the track you are talking about(you refer to the one when the genos island explode probably), do you think they would put a so much pushed track in a sad moment like when chester die??? btw if you don't trust me listen to the descendant of genos in the pre-arrange cd, and you'll see that that track isn't in the game at all i think it was just a first arrangement for the fight against chester in valestine castle, since it's definitely a fight music, not a sad moment one

I just typed in 'JDK' Special in youtube and found it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=NYqvJxlQpbsOr was that from the original SAV?

I hold the SAV and JDK Special in similar regards... they're both a bit inconsistent and have some filler, but they also have some really spectacular tracks. "A Premonition ~I Suddenly Recall~" is far and away my favorite Falcom vocal theme out of what I've heard so far, and see my other posts for my opinion on the Special's "Beat of Destruction"/"Pulsing Toward Ruin".
