Just found an old articale on Ys 3 for the Turbo, & it was mentioned that it takes place in "Felugana" archives.tg-16.com/archive-two/TP-08-10.jpgSeems odd that they basically had the name of the land right in the begining, but, then changed it(along with everything else!). Just thought it was interesting.

Yeeeeah, that's pretty bad. The girlfriend thing kinda reminds me of the idea I had for an Ys harem VN. You play as Adol and 'date' the girls from the Ys series. The catch is that every branch ends with Adol basically dumping whichever girl.

Somethin really puzzles me about that: Who on earth are Mayor Grady, Miner Harvey, Merland and Jetai? That is, what are they named in the Japanese version.

Just read that scan, and I have one thought go through my mind. "What Dogi's not Adol's Mentor, he Adol's friend!" The stupid idiot who made that misconception should have been sacked back then.

Well, it's more or less right about Valis III with what little it says about that one.

Reminds me of an old English preview article for Phantasy Star IV as far as accuracy is concerned. Also funny from that one was the guy was using the Japanese names for most of the characters (which ended up changing in the localization) but that still didn't stop him from completely getting some characters' names mixed up

I think whoever wrote the captions should be tarred and feathered as a matter of course: There's an apostraphe inserted where apostraphes should never go. Oddly, the article itself gets it right.

I Bishop Nikolas (not 100% sure on this one) I believe he was just called Garland, and the 'Bishop Nikolas' Garland came later, but yes, Merland = Garland.

Yeah, they didn't give him a first name until Oath in Felghana needed to hide him in plain sight.

AH, so THAT'S what Garland moved on to after the Light Warriors kicked his ass! Glad to see he got his act together!
Seriously, though. I remember reading an old Turbo magazine scan and laughing my ass off when the writer ending his Cosmic Fantasy 2 review with: "...and you get the girl in the end!" Makes me wonder how many young gamers' souls have been crushed because of that idiot.

And that was Victor Ireland saying that, atleast, that's what the section led you to believe, so, you'd think he'd know better then that...though, really, this is a bit spoilage I suppose.
