Is there a place where you get stuck, almost without fail, on each and every single playthrough of Ys II? I seem to get stuck whenever I get to the part where Tarf loses the damn Black Pearl! XD
Well, time to consult the mighty FAQs once more, for the same damn part!
It's kindof humiliating to get stuck in the same exact place over and over, though!

Only played it twice, but on the second playthrough I remembered everything quite well. Except the whereabouts of the Black Pearl.

For me, it's mostly traversing the underground canal. The exact paths to Keith, the Battle Sword, and Sada tend to confuse me, even after all of my speedrun testing.
As for re-obtaining the Black Pearl, my only problem is sometimes talking to Tarf too early (you need to do it after showing the Dreaming Stone Idol to the Goddesses), and wondering why the demons' meeting isn't over yet. =p

I just learned to recall which areas are west, central, and east -- and then work from there. The underground passages are much simpler to navigate once you recall the entrances to said areas from the surface.

I have a general idea where everything's located (except sometimes I forget where Sada is), it's just actually getting there. The canal layout is a bit weird to me, even moreso once it's drained. Even the rest of the Shrine (well, the important parts =p) has proven pretty simple to navigate after a few playthroughs, but not the canal.
