That's a lovely Astro City. I wanted a candy cab for my Gokujou Parodius PCB (though I think that's a horizontal mount) but was cheap and just got a used NeoGeo cab for it instead.

My latest haul came in a few weeks ago. There is a third game in the series but it was still like 27 dollars. The manga was thrown in because it was only like 30 cents. Also not shown is Wander Wonder by compile. I bought a digital version of it from project egg/amusement center.

Oooh, the fabled Ys IV MotS manga. Nice purchase. I have never been able to find the RAWs. Especially not of any of the other Ys mangas.

Yeah I was thinking about scanning it for you. Any tips on debinding and scanning manga in general. Looks like its just glued; maybe a heat gun would work.

That'd be very kind of you, thanks. But please, I hope I don't make you damage your manga or something, I'd feel horrible.

I don't have any special tip to give in particular, although I can talk from experience what at least did not work with me with another manga: leaving the manga in the microwave for 10 seconds. It did make the glue more loose, but not enough for me to safely rip the pages (some of the pages got ripped unevenly, and chopped off some of the pages themselves).

Perhaps simply making the pages face down on a scanner is all it takes?

Also, don't worry if for some reason you are not able or even available later on to do this. Do it according to your will, if even possible.


This reminds me, my fiancee left her Ys Perfect Data book with me last time she dropped by in my place a month back, and I plan to scan that, as well, having searched for the book myself for ages. I'm sure many Ys fans could be interested, and I could figure out a thing or two I found very neat by taking a peek at it (Mask of Eyes being made of Blue Emelas, Mask of the Sun being made of either Golden or Yellow Emelas, Mirror of Zemeth made of White Emelas, Black Pearl, either Darm's or the one you stick in the forehead of the Stone Idol, is made of Black Emelas etc.), and there's a lot of stuff that seemed as curious, but that I could not read, so I wonder what some folks here could make known, if they looked at it.

Edit:

The Limited Edition Ys Seven for PC (Chinese) arrived today along with the First Press Release Version with the extra goodies as well. It came with a lot of stuff and it was as big as a cat! 0_o









And one Ys Seven Pendant, Not pictured, because I didn't see it in the box until after I took the photos and cleaned everything up. : 0

The Reah Figure and Adol Figures are very nice and of a high quality and the controller isn't too bad either. Nice that I was able to get a red one to match Adol's hair. : )

The First Press Release comes with some post cards with Ys Seven Art, a cool Dragon Knight keychain, a poster and tube, a metal tin case for the game disc and a Ys Seven iPhone 4 case.

So far, I've been able to follow some advice in the Ys Seven PC Chinese to English thread and I've been able to the script for all characters completely into English. We'll probably work at it some more to see what else we can get changed as well.

Ah! I didn't know that there was a chance that this particular set could come with either a white controller or a red controller. I thought this was a 100% chance of being red, while this set here contained a white Controller.

And yes! Theatrerhythym Final Fantasy is quite fun. Been really enjoying it.

And a friend of mine who loves DragonQuest recently bought the same Wii DragonQuest X Box Set, so you might still be crazy, but at least you are not alone! : )

Yep, as Red Hairdo said, the figure of Adol comes in all of the limited edition sets, so either of the two sets below:

1. Amazon.cn LE Set
2. TaoBao LE Set

Hi Leona,

Just like on Amazon Japan, you'll likely be required to have an address in that country in order to purchase from there unless you use a middle-man / proxy service.

In that thread I linked to earlier above, we had a pretty thorough discussion on different options of how to order it, but I personally used a proxy service called Zarmark.com and ordered this via an email conversation through one of their agents.

If you were ordering only this set (I had originally ordered two different sets) then the estimated total according to my findings would be

Amazon Limited Edition, $56.16 USD + Estimated Shipping via SAL: 59.30 USD = Total: $115.46 USD.

Right, you'll basically just need to give them the URL to the set you are interested in, explain that you would like to order it and ask them how much the total would be to have it shipped to your address.
