You get bonus points for something I'd assume, and using those points you can buy bonuses to start the game with.
They vary from gold and reval (the ore), increased stats, hp, recover boost faster, start with dash, double jump, etc etc.

Yep. It's saying that the more difficult the skill level upon completion of the game, the more points you'll get. And the options are: Start With Gold & Raval Ore Start With Higher Weapon Levels & Increase Weapon Level Limit Start With Status (?) Start With Dash Start With Boost & W-Boost Decrease Ring Power Reduction & Increase Health Gain Increase Boost Gain Max HP + 50 -Tom Thanks, that's what I wanted to know. That "status" thing must be HP, Def and Str. I tried this option and started at lv 50. Thanks again =D

Also, New Game+ makes beating this game on Inferno a piece of cake Time Attack is another story.. Back in my day, we had to beat Inferno with our skill only! No New Game + bonuses, no W-Boost. We did it both ways, in the snow, and liked it!

Ys Oath in Felghana veterans... You guys are the real heroes. Nowadays, gaming is made easy for us new-age gamers. It is truly an honour to have met someone of your level of skill.
Inferno without bonuses is just nutz...

OOOOOOhhhhh This is the first I've seen this. That has promise, mon frairs. Now I might actually invest in the PSP edition someday. It'll be some time (still gotta get a PSP, and other games take priority), but that prospect seasons some flavor to mine palate.

Aw Toronto, that's a hop skip and a jump away from Buffalo. I wonder if I could hit it with a stone from here. I'm thinking probably.

Even during weather reports, there's no mention about that place! Only Timmins and Thunder Bay and Musoka and such! Kenora is mysterious like Finland and Sweden! Mythical places, I say!!!! Everyone that posts from those countries are mere figments of our imagination!

After starting a New Game+ I've come to the conclusion that starting with all weapons at their current levels and increasing their max levels breaks the game nicely. Next up for making your life easier is the Boost and Magic drain bonuses. Keeping your status is really only good for trying to get 999 HP via Katols as it's tough to get over lv.52 when almost everything in the game is only giving 1 EXP per kill.
Gold and Raval is nice for early equipment but in the long run only affects how easy the game is at the start.
Double Jump & W-Boost is fun for getting to some areas early but the game is pretty well protected from any major sequence breaking. It really only saves on some backtracking in the early game. Dash is just pointless.

Yes, Kenora is isolated... lol It's not even Thunder Bay... you're more Manitobans. lol Este, you're close enough to the border that I'd consider honourary Canadian I... for some reason, decided to play Oath on nightmare mode... I can't believe there's an Inferno Difficulty... I think it would have been nice to add the original Ys3 as an unlockable...
