Thing is there were 71 games announced. Considering the original DS got nothing at launch but was after its first year bombarded with software I'd say we'll see a lot of original 3DS games as well. Honestly I love the new Kid Icarus. My understanding of it from people I know on the show floor is that Its an action platformer with "panzer dragoonish" flying segments. The original was also an action platformer so I don't think they changed genres completely. That is a must have for me and so is Resident Evil Revelations. Then theres Starfox, whichat first I thought was a new game because it looks better then assault.
All in all day one purchase (unless I get a free one) for me.
Oh an there was something else I was curious about. Would Falcom work on this. Its a stronger console then the PSP and the DS was a stronger brand then PSP. Maybe they've just invested too much time in the PSP to make the jump.

I was more or less sold when I found out 3D is optional and that there is a teal-like color available at launch ;P
Still waiting on battery life reports, price, and if there will be an option to transfer DSiWare titles. Given the latter would only be a loss of $20-30 for me...

Ehhh... ports of things I already have on other systems, and new games in series I don't really care about (except Kid Icarus, but the new Kid Icarus looks NOTHING like the original, and honestly doesn't look very good to me at all!). Not a single game on that list is something I'd even buy if I HAD the system, much less buy the system FOR. -Tom You don't like Paper Mario? How is that possible? Oh well, haters gonna hate, as always.

And now you've got Sony and Microsoft following suit with their own stupid-sounding gimmick ideas. Stop it, Nintendo... bad game company! BAD! -Tom It's not Nintendo's fault Sony and Microsoft like chasing shadows when Nintendo have already moved on, it's theirs Both Kinect and Move are going to fail horribly, and MS and Sony seem to be the only ones who can't see this.

Hoho, Kinect looks 10x better than move, at least for that workout game from Ubisoft and Child of Eden.
I want to play some REZ, still can't beat the last boss ):

I'm certainly getting this at launch, I was sold the second I saw Medusa's face from the Kid Icarus Trailer. though so far thats the only game I want for that system, I don't remember if they said it could play DS(DSi) games but if it can I might end up trading in my newly bought DSi and use that to play golden sun, of course not till the system is close to being released.

The one thing I'm MOST hopeful for is Wii-DS connectivity. Being able to project some DS games on the TV, with the option of one or BOTH screens, being able to use the Wii remote as a stylus (and/or the classic controller instead of your DS for games that don't require a stylus). Think about it, not all games require the stylus anyway, and this would eliminate the problem older/blinder people have with not being able to see the DS screen. Who cares about the DSiXL?

Actually, that is supposed to read since DKC3. P: (; No way, man! While the DKC trilogy was great from beginning to end, DK64 was also very good, and one of the best games on the N64 (in my opinion). Plus, boxing match with K. Rool.

K. Rool needs to be in the new DKC game.

The 3DS will be fully backwards-compatible, and that's a very good reason for me to upgrade. I don't think my old first-edition DS is in proper condition to be traded, but I'm going to try to save some money for a 3DS after I get a Wii.

I honestly tried going into this 3DS bit with no interest in the platform itself, since I'm not too terribly fond of either of Nintendo's current offerings. But then they had to go and announce Starfox 64 3D, and make it look absofuckinglutely gorgeous, to boot.
So now I'm getting a 3DS.
Well played, Nintendo. Well played.

If Nintendo can really consider adding in all the drummed out stuff/URA Zelda/Concepts that they wanted to put into Ocarina of Time (but couldn't due to OoT only being around 30 mb), then I will be very very very happy. Oh, and there's a Martha Stewart game announced as well. I suppose it says something about GameFAQs that it was the number 7 3DS board yesterday.

I was thinking about that. It'd be cool if this remake indeed featured more dungeons, perhaps the heavily rumored Triforce, use of the medallions, and other such removed features. The graphics already look better than the original incarnation -- I *hated* OoT/SSB Link, he always looked ugly. I got used to it by the time I played Majora's Mask, but I still say they improved heavily. Fierce Deity Link remains unmatched by any other incarnation! Can you imagine if they'd done the Lost Woods exactly as they'd originally intended?! That would have been awesome!

To those who love the PSP: bloodcoveredinblood.wordpress.com/2010/07/03/playstation-network-now-with-movies/And I will say as well that I enjoy games, not the consoles that they're, but I've been taking issue with some of Sony's recent decisions, and I figure I'll say something about it. Hopefully the 3DS can avoid this crap, if it is expanding the internet connectivity, et cetera, like people have said. Nintendo, as asinine as some of their design choices on Wii connectivity have been (can't comment on DSi), such as the troublesome data transfering, keeps things simple. I don't need to be confused when I use Wii Shop Channel, it deletes the credit card info each time, it keeps points simple, it does a lot of things I like. And it certainly doesn't !@#$ over Canada.

It also doesn't require you enter your address, and as such allows foreign credit cards to be used to buy Wii Points, so you don't have to get screwed over by scalpers on ebay. Easily my favourite thing about the Wii Shop Channel.

I've never used a foreign credit card, but that is a very nice feature!
The amount of region lockout on PSN is insane.

My credit card is still tied to my XBL account and I'm not too happy about that. (not happy because it makes spending money on more XBL points way too easy)
The region lock outs for PSN hit me with Phantasy Star Portable 2. They introduced DLC items/clothing that I actually wanted to spend money on, but then the Japanese PSN only allows credit cards with Japanese billing addresses. boo
Wii's shopping channel is so damned slow, but alright other than that. There DRM on the other hand can go f itself. Why do I have to buy points separately for my DSi and my Wii? Why do I lose all my DSi apps if I were to upgrade my DSi to a DSi XL? Nintendo is aware their online store has problems and I hope they're fixed before the 3DS comes out.

Oh yeah, you can remove your tiedness with your credit card but it is a pain. You've got to go to the XBL website and get an email sent to you.
