A few years ago, Paranoia Dragon had uploaded the entire Alma's Trials soundtrack (Konami's arranges, remixes, and original tracks for Ys VI) to the ffshrine forums, and a few other places as well. Unfortunately, these links are all dead, so I was wondering if anyone here might still have these files handy.// I've edited this post so that others who wish to acquire the Alma's Trials and Sealed Caverns OSTs may do so easily!

Don't know if it's ok to put them here, so I'll send you a pm.

Even if it IS, it's probably long been OOP right? In which case, why not?

The Konami CD is missing quite a few tracks from Alma's Trials. The PSP version has the full track list and until I figure out how to rip them all (IIRC, they have their own column in the PSP version Music Player) I kinda figured Paranoia Dragon's rips were every Alma's Trial (Konami) track. My favorite track is the remix of the tunnel between continents (and before the Ruins of Amnesia). I wasn't sure myself if this topic was going to be iffy or not, as Deuce's original rules were long since removed -- but common sense tells me that as many of these are tracks that didn't make it to an OST, and therefore aren't works that Konami is cashing in on, that this should be okay. If there is a problem though, you have my sincere apologies. Especially as a moderator making an iffy topic, that just looks bad, doesn't it?

Aha, thank you very much! This is most appreciated. I'm unsure myself if this requires moderation, but personally I feel Konami isn't losing any money from this being posted here. I mean, they aren't releasing an OST with all of this music on there, and this BGM simply promotes the game itself anyway. // Aha, I just noticed something! The PSP version has tracks that the PS2 version doesn't. Regardless, this helps a ton! I'll be sure to rip the PSP exclusive tracks as well and upload them sometime.

If all goes well, I should have those ripped before I leave here. 3 days, 12 minutes to go!

I promise the PSP exclusives are better. I really do like tracks 1 and 2, though -- and one of the others isn't too bad, but not too great either. I agree with you for the most part though, a few of these sound like an overly generic low-budget RPG. Especially the boss tracks.

Just think, at one point Konami was going to replace the entire soundtrack with music like that. Now if that doesn't keep you awake at night I don't know what will aside from an announcement that XSEED has farmed out the translation work on Seven and Sora no Kiseki to, say, 4kids.

Oooh, Bandai is so burned. It's their own effing fault though.

Wow. This stuff is like World of WarCraft music. o_O It's not bad but definitely not Ys music to me. ^^;;

LOL. The Art of Evasion... Where in the original YS6 game did we hear that... *ponders*
Actually most of the tracks reminded me of something from Final Fantasy 12... >_>
I must agree that I am glad Konami did not decide to destroy the OST by remaking.

Nowhere, it's one of the songs exclusive to Konami's ports.

To me, it sounds like a remix of Ultramarine Deep, the song that plays in the dungeon bridging the two islands:
It took me a little while to place it, too, since it sounded so familiar when I first heard the remixed version...

Yeah, that's it! What did I say it was again? Ah, I didn't say a name -- and I knew if I did, I'd probably have said the name of the Limewater Cave song by mistake.

Exactly what I was thinking too. Limewater Cave always reminds me of something from Threads of Fate, but better.
