ok i didnt know where to post htis but here goes. we all hear rumors that falcom is having trouble making games so they let konami do VI and taito to do III,IV,V
taito made lufia so far no new lufia games. i think lufia is dead.
the reason taito is getting the contract is because i beleive taitos a company that is almost extenct without the cotract.
you see taito was bought out by the kyocera corperation and since then taito hasnt made many games.
so i think the reason we wont see Ys III,IV,V stateside is the fact is there is no taito us corperation anymore.
anyways please speak your mind and thoughts on this
thank you

I dont know anything about Taito closing it's US corperation, but...
"taito made lufia so far no new lufia games. i think lufia is dead."
Lufia is certainly not dead.. Taito published the first Lufia game, FoD. Natsume published Lufia II and TLR on GBC, and Atlus published the newest one that just came out 2 or 3 years ago called Ruins of Lore on GBA. All of them are develioped by Neveraland, which isnt dead either cuz it's working on 3 other series right now (one of them being Shining Force Neo, along with Sega).
just wanted to point that out... i havent seen any taito games in the US for a while, not even arcades.. so I dont think we'll see taito bringing games to the US in the future.
but remember, thats just the US. In Japan, Taito is still very much alive. It's just created a new Arcade system that uses microsoft windows and released a new arcade shooter for it. They also develope/produce a number of other japan-only games. So even if Taito did develope Lufia games, they wouldnt be dead.. they'd only be dead for the US

That's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. The various ports of Falcom's games have historically always been done by third-party companies. As has been repeatedly stated (not that you seem to have noticed), Falcom has not done console development in years. In fact, the only console-specific game I've ever heard of from them was Ys V on the Super Famicom, a full ten years ago. Quit rumor-mongering. Or if you insist on it, at least try to do it with rumors that have a grain of truth to them. acually if you look up kyocera corperation you will find they bought out taito completely and they dont have a us subsidary anymore. as for them making Ys V only. thats very intrested and i learned something new. and no i dont make rumors i was sharing what i learned about taito being bought by the kyocera company.

Taito developes and produces. they only produced one lufia game.. the first one ever. they never developed it, the japanese game developer called Neverland always has. So I realy dont care who publishes it, wither it's Taito or Natsume or even Square Enix. Neverland is still making them, the last one just released 2 years ago in April. So Lufia is not dead, and "taito lufia games' have been "dead" since 1994, cuz they only decided to produce and bring one lufia game stateside. sure hope that they never produce neverland games again, because that would mean that we would never see a western release, atleast not by Taito.
I know our not trying to say lufia is dead or anything and that it's just taito.. i just wanted to point that out. Taito's bigger series was producing Bust A Move/Puzzle Bobble, and they havent been doing anymore ports of those anymore either. So im pretty sure their dead here as they were never realy popular here, it's better for them to stay in Japan now.
You know, i think another company could bring Taito's remakes of Ys stateside if they wanted. So who cares if Taito is gone from the states? This is the first im hearing of Kyocera owning them tho. maybe you'll get an interesting reply for that email you sent.

I can't know for sure though. There are no Koei credits as far as I can tell. Edit: Oh, and Falcom made Popful Mail for Super Famicom too.

Of course Lufia is not dead! *throws stones at everyone who says that Lufia is dead* Wrong, all of them are developed by Neverland, except Lufia The Ruins of Lore (and the cellphone Ancient Cave )

Lol, sorry bout that SinReVi guess I didnt realy want to get into strong details. I didnt want to go back and check, since I thought I remembered clearly that I got Ruins of Lore in April here. Ill have to check on that again I can correct that further, though Ruins of Lore technicaly was not the last Lufia released... it was the cell phone game, although that was Japan only (from my knowledge). And I always had in my mind that Neverland developed every Lufia. They didnt do Ruins of Lore?? What the... then who did develop it?

Finally somebody who doesn't hate Lufia RoL... It's my 2nd fav GBA game. I think a lot of people don't like it because: 1) The story, it is not done by the original writer. Actually the whole game is done by a different company. And it is a sidestory that has nothing to do with the Sinistrals. 2) Battlesystem, the original "equip weapon/scroll to use an special attack" IP system is replaced with a monster installing IP system. I love them all four! You should play Lufia II, it is like Ruins of Lore, except with better and more puzzles, better storyline, better characters (Dekar is in it too and funnier), better battlesystem, it still has the monsters but they are called Capsulemonsters and you can't install them. There are also only 7 Capsulemonsters, you can't catch every monsters like in RoL. The seven Capsulemonsters are hidden on different places on the world. Bleh, I talk too much and Foomy rocks
