Games should be about fun, not flaunting your invisible penis. Therefore non-tournament-level fighters are superior. Gimme some Hisoutensoku or Alternative Saga any day! That's not really fair. Games like Street Fighter and Blazblue might be tournament- viable, but they exist on a casual level too. I certainly have no plans of ever practicing enough to become a tournament-level player. |

Reminds me of a conversation from work one day. I was commenting about how games are supposed to be about having fun.. until you get too good at them. Then they're all serious. That prompted a coworker to ask if I play fighting games.
...I was actually referring to my past experiences with music games.
Anyhow now to dig out my 360, hook it up again, and play some Challenge mode in BBCS

Good God, those challenges in Super Street Fighter IV are hard! They're generally super easy for the first 15 or so, but when you get into one frame links shit get's zany.

Plinking for one frame links in SF4 makes them way easier than doing them in any other game ;o

Good God, those challenges in Super Street Fighter IV are hard! They're generally super easy for the first 15 or so, but when you get into one frame links shit get's zany. I can do about 70% of the SSFIV Challenges, but I'm having trouble clearing most people's Challenge #3 (basic combos 1) in BBCS. Wtf.. and chaining is even far, far easier in BBCS I thought plinking didn't widen the input time for links, it just gave you an option select so a weaker attack would come out and do a little extra damage in case you hit the buttons too early. Still, I main Dee Jay and his c.Jab, c.Strong isn't bad for being 1 frame. His final Challenge is like one of his easiest for me. |
