Yup, you guessed it. It was the same with Lunar SSH site , it appeared on their homepage before it was announced. Anyway I love it, I assume you wrote the whole Ys history thing. Heck, I like it better than Falcom's Ys Seven site. I was not expecting a mind blowing entrance with vacant interfeence.

Whoopsie...
Anyhow, I'd call it a pretty kickass site. Nice summary of the series, the characters and the world in general. Plus, you've got Vacant Interference and To Reveal The Way To Go (geez Falcom, could you have made that any longer?) as BGM and you can never go wrong there. Just one teensy thing that caught my eye: Romun and Romn are both used, though I think I only saw the latter once. I'm not sure which version you're going with.
On a non-nitpicky note, I can't recall offhand, was there dialogue in this game somewhere that established the worship of Gratios as being from Orietta? Must have missed that line. Ever since playing the game and finding out that he's not originally an Altagan god I've been wondering just who they got the idea from. Cool to know. Actually... isn't Orietta the place 'east of the Tigris' that Falcom owes us an adventure in?

Pretty sweet site! It's incredibly beautiful, even moreso than any other company has dared try for any other Ys game!

'Pretty' significant? I'd call that a teensy understatement. But anyways, cool that you're making both spellings of our Roman analogues canon. Suddenly, 'Fleet of Romn' makes perfect sense!

It makes sense when you think about it. In the real world, there is "Rome", and then there is the "Roman Empire".
Anyway, the site is very nice, my only teensy complaint is lack of being able to choose what music you get to listen to while on the site.
Also, I like how it was added to properly pronounce names like Ys and Cruxie.

I'm just sittin' on the site listening to the BGM right now. XD
BTW, if you have admin access to the FB page, you ... may want to remove my link if you want to. ^^ Sowwy. Got way too excited. ^^;;;;;;;;;;; I mean, I can remove it myself (of course) but if it's not a heinous crime to link to the site then I'll leave it alone. ^^;
Also, thank you for NOT regurgitating manual info. One of the most annoying things I find on ANY official or fan site is that every damn character profile, story info, etc. is EXACTLY the same as it is in the game or manual. Well, moreso on fan sites than official ones but still!
Anyway, I'm LOVING this site. Good job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vacant Interference scared the crap outta me. LOVE the effect when the mouse is over the Ys logo. .... Cruxie?

Nice site.
And seriously, I just skim through the manuals to see if there's any pretty artwork in there. I'd have to side with Wyrd on this matter, as long as the official manual provides adequate information, there's no reason not to use it on the official site as well. For fan sites it might be different; they need to go more in-depth or mention additional, interesting things so they actually serve a purpose compared to the official site.

Aside from the Romn/Romun thing now being explained, I will say I wish it was Promarock, rather then Promalock. But, I can live with it. I know you know what you're doing as far as translation goes, so, you have my blessing.

Wait, is Promalock a mountain or a village or something else? I think Promalock would sound better for a village, and Promarock would sound better for a mountain.

Well, I'm not really that much of an Ys buff either, to be honest. >_>
So you actually see where Adol is from in Ys IV? Fascinating.

Ah, well perhaps we'll see something if Falcom decides to remake IV and V for the PSP. And if they do, I wonder if they'll add Dawn of Ys things into the canon or go entirely with Mask of the Sun.

I hope they add some Dawn of Ys stuff. Dawn of Ys kicked ass. -Tom Indeed it did....& still does! As for personal preference being the reason for Promalock! BAH! May the fleas of a thousand camels infest your armpits! Promarock rolls off my tongue better the lock, but, oh well. As for Adol, I thought he was born in some small mountain village, perhaps in France(well, the Ys equivalent of France)? I'm sure of the small mountain villiage part.

I thought that Ys eternal loading screen said he was from the equivalent of the Ural mountains. Or something like that.

You know, I'm actually kind of curious. Can you max out every skill for every character in the game? or is there something to prevent that from happening? like 'oh your max level so you can't gain anymore skill points' bull that I really hate from Star Ocean among other thing.
EDIT: I ask this because I think someone said they made the game harder on themselves or something to that effect because they neglected to use a few characters on their initial playthrough.

Well that's good. now one last thing on my mind. This is a little nit-picky, but what happened to Dogi? He looks like he replaced his jaw with a brick. >.<

Oh? I don't recall that, but you're probably right. Anyone have a link to that loading screen? Transcription right here. Have fun figuring out exactly where that unknown mountain village might be located, although how it could be unknown when it's been turned into a museum is a mystery for the ages. Incidentally, if you do figure he's from the Ys equivalent of the Urals that would make him the Russian guy, not Dogi (since Felghana is apparently somewhere around Germany... er, Garman).
