Haha, it is called Annoyances and if it annoyed Schlag, so be it.
To be honest, I don't like the idea of that sort of pandering either, but I'll live with it, and it seems like he has too.

ITT: Somebody complains about a single NPC's one-time dialogue. ITT: everyone but the original commenter thinks it's serious business Gee. Glad I didn't say anything about not liking some of the voice acting (even though everyone only has like 2-3 full lines anyway) But you should have! Aisha's voice acting is pretty much the worst thing ever. D:

The Castlevania reference annoys you? A cheap, long overused reference so glaring that I noticed it when I barely talk to any NPCs and just skim what they say anyhow. Seems rather unprofessional from a commercial product. I'd sooner expect to see something like that in an indie game or on a t-shirt or something Perhaps you shouldn't skim through the text, then? It wouldn't make it quite so glaring.

My favorite line so far isn't anything humorous or pop culture related. But the line that Scias gives Adol right before the battle in the coliseum made me go 'damn this is a good game'
Also I think I missed the 'Vania joke

But you should have! Aisha's voice acting is pretty much the worst thing ever. D: I always thought she sounded like someone who was taking in some helium but decided to stop halfway through. Oh yeah, another annoyance -- boss battles always feel like a solo fight. I've been wondering though -- when you guys do flash guarding, do the AI members attack the enemy in the meantime?

Elk sounds like someone trying too hard to sound younger Aisha sounds like she's talking through her nose (normal, but still annoying, for Japanese but really bad in English) And for a while I thought Adol's grunts were actually coming from Dogi. They sound a lot lower than his spoken lines

I think I remember seeing the CV joke, & thought it was funny, but, I don't recall what it was, or if I figured out it was a CV reference, can someone enlighten us? I remember the whole dusting thing...I probably shouldn't say anymore though, some are really particular about what is or isn't a spoiler.

Fastidious Maid: "Die, dust! You don't belong in this world! HAVE AT YOU!"
I found her in the main palace outside of the Princess's room right after I returned from Shannoa. Dunno how long she keeps that same text

The only thing close to a reference I got was the guy that tells you to not leave the city. >.>

Bah. You all need to watch Old Gregg! The reference is "We've got all things that are good." Admittedly subtle, but still... AH'M OLD GREEEEEEEEGG!!!!!! -Tom Like I said. The guy that tells you not to leave the city.

"Cruxie, pronounced like "croo-she-eh" but spoken quickly" is the new "Dick Grayson, age 12" or "Knives Chau, 17 years old"
Does she actually say that in the Japanese version? You know, if that was spoken, she would've just told everyone her name.. then said it slowly again and told them to say it faster

I've noticed on my copy that they don't like to help do anything at all if there's a foe a few clicks away. Oh well, more for Adol.

I have to do it all the time when I'm visiting my family in America, so I can vouch for that.
Anyway, I have a real annoyance with this game now: no boss-rush/time attack mode.

About Cruxie's weird dialogue about her name: Now that you all mention it, it doesn't seem all that strange any more!
However, she could have simply said "My name is Cruxie. To pronounce it properly, please check the manual" because I couldn't help notice that the exact line (well, almost) was under the profile too. :P

Oh, for fuck's sake.
Adol suddenly developed tumours in his brain or something.
At the bottom of the spiral staircase at the Sea Sanctum with all the weird walking shark-like enemies right now and the guy has a habit of trying to attack the enemies which are at the level ABOVE.
Guess it's time to switch the AI back to "attack same enemy" but seriously, I shouldn't have to do this.

There are standards.

Boss rush would take like an hour and a half to complete, I'd get bored long before I ever finished fighting every boss in this game at once.
