I actually got the Black Screen of Death on my Vista laptop, and even when I managed to get it running again (at the expense of EVERYTHING) with a full factory default, it catalyzed hardware issues in the Compaq V6000 which led the damn things complete demise just over a month later.
Gotta say anyone who hasn't suffered windows hardship is a damn lucky bastard.

Does that just happen at random or is it brought on by something? I've never had windows troubles in XP, Vista, or 7, so I'm a wee bit sceptical.
I have on the other hand had hardware issues (internal wireless card not working, battery won't charge, etc) but I chalk those up to the manufacturer and not the OS.

As a software developer, it is my opinion that many problems users have with a particular OS are ACTUALLY caused by buggy software and/or faulty hardware. I think that, to the average Joe, if an application crashes a lot (or causes the OS to crash) they simply chalk that up to the OS being "crappy" when, in fact, it may just be badly developed software. I'm not saying Windows is perfect or without problems, just that (IMO) it doesn't have nearly as many problems as it gets accused of having

...and provided numerous ways to break out of programs... Yeah, that's definitely a problem in windows. I've just noticed Win7 doing something about it, like a few weeks ago my computer got hung up configuring updates after and automatic-update/restart-computer cycle. I sat there looking at it, wondering whether to pull the battery. As I was about to, it said something to the effect that it gave up trying... then it just continued with the startup as normal. Needless to say I was pretty relieved, and I was impressed with something that probably should've been included a long time ago.

How strange! This thread has turned into a thread about Windows! XD!
Me, I don't mind Vista and absolutely love 7. I have no idea why 7 would keep causing problems for wyrd since I've rarely experienced issues or slow-downs. Maybe wyrd's actually using a copy of Windows Neves or some other bizarro version of it. :P

The windows logo kind of does look like a flag flapping in the wind. It'd be better if the pirate icon was warped to look like it was sewn into the windows logo.

Ordered. This game is going to be so loving sweet as I've played the PC version to death but I'm always down to return to the warm, familiar landscape of Felghana.
Yes, I'm stoked. =) -Joshua

I thought Hard was the highest difficulty unlocked in the PSP one from the get-go :l Regardless

Well I already beat Inferno on PC so I guess I'll just start at the highest available on the PSP verison.
Unless there's some sorta bonuses for being each individual difficulty like the deskmate unlocks for the PC.

Ummm, that's a good point. I can't remember what the highest level available is from the get-go. I'm thinking that hard was the highest until after the first playthrough. Then nightmare and inferno become playable. I'd be afraid (but willing) to do inferno without W-boost. Nightmare without is a whore...

Damn, I wasn't going to get this game since I already own 2 version of it... but what the hell, I want a desktop calender, and I want to hear the voice acting.
I'm in for nightmare as well.

In the PSP version, both Very Easy and Nightmare are unlocked from the get-go. Only Inferno needs to be unlocked by beating the game once. -Tom Just checked again, you're right. Do you still have to go back and beat the easier difficulties to unlock gallery stuff?
