Noooooo. No cataclysms. I want to live a bit longer!
Also! I want to express how awesome everyone that participated in this design debate was! I think if this were happening at some other forums, we'd be trying to slit each other's throats! ^^

Wait, I was under the assumption that everyone thought Ys 7 used this "Comic Sans" font. I don't see it.

Man... Amazon'll let you sell anything these days. I saw someone selling eBook facsimiles of a couple of visual novels for ridiculous prices. Is that even legal? I highly doubt it. I'm surprised no one's been sued yet.
Wyrd, I just noticed something while I was playing through Lunar, and thought you might want to check to make sure the issue doesn't repeat itself in Felghana: At one point in the game (shortly after "the big reveal", I think), a character talks about their fiancé in a different town. However, instead of an 'é', the game displays a question mark.
Does Felghana have any special characters like this? I ran into similar issues in the game I was testing at work, likely caused by typing up text in Word and copy-and-pasting it into the game (MS Office can be a real pain with its auto-format that way; all apostrophes, quotes, hyphens, and ellipses showed up as square placeholder characters in-game until I bugged it). Your playtesters would probably spot an issue like that, but at least one got past them into the retail build of Lunar, so I figured it was worth mentioning.

I can understand special characters, but quotation marks? Very strange.

every encoding has a different code for quotation marks, who ever thought of that should be executed.

Pre-ordered mine yesterday! That, Scott Pilgrim on Blu Ray, Golden Sun 3 and apparently the 3DS too... November's going to be very expensive

Yeah, the 22nd, if rumors are true.
If worse comes to worse though I may have to actually pick up Golden Sun 3 first. I love me some Oath(so, so much) but I've been waiting for GS3 longer than I've been aware that the Ys series even existed, so it's only fair.

I can understand special characters, but quotation marks? Very strange. Not so much, actually. Microsoft Word and a few other word processors auto-convert regular quotes (' and ") to their opening and closing counterparts (‘/’ and “/” ). The majority of fonts have support for the former, but not the latter. When I say not all fonts are created equal, I don't do so without a proper justification. every encoding has a different code for quotation marks, who ever thought of that should be executed. I take it the geeky pun wasn't intended?

removing the letter E is too obvious. For really fun it should be "you can't use Q, X, or Z or it'll break the code!" At first you'd be like feh, whatever, but then you'd hit some silly snags like a matriarchal monarchy or something and then start swearing up a storm
