Oops! Sorry to post first without introducing myself. Just call me Seth...it's really Esther, but my real name makes me sound like some old woman out of the Bible. Where do parents get off thinking that's a good name? Please call me Seth. And Esther, no thank you.
I'm a big fan of the LOH games...mostly the SnK games. Well, actually mostly only Joshua. If anyone here on the boards has a friend that looks like Joshua, um, by all means let me know and maybe we could exchange photos, get together, or something. Old Joshua, that is. Ooh la la! Is that too straightforward?

Hey, welcome!
I don't look like Joshua, but Wyrd says I look like the vampire from Twilight? Is that good enough?

Seth? Now I won't be able to stop from imagining the final boss of Street Fighter IV whenever I read your posts..
Welcome, welcome, and all that jazz
Also extreme coincidence here, but I happen to look exactly like Joshua! Only not at all... except in pitch or near pitch black situations

That's actually a pretty awesome introduction. And your first post was pretty awesome, too! You were the first person among us to beat Falcom's newest game, I believe... and it was your VERY FIRST POST that announced as such, which is super-cool! Welcome to ALoY!! -Tom Thank you. By the way, is it OK to ask what ALoY means? Cuz I really don't know. But, yeah. I'm a super-huge fan/admirer of Joshua. He's gotta be the hottest guy ever in a game for me, those amber eyes and dark hair. Oh, I didn't mention I've got all kinds of artwork for him. This is what my favorite one looks like. If that isn't like the hottest guy front and center, then I don't know what is. I'm a gamer-girl at heart. My older brother got me into them when I was little. Maybe it would be better to say that Barbie dolls just seemed stupid to play with at that age although Ken...now that's another fine man. Anyhow, didn't like the dolls and playing house and played games instead. Mostly piggybacked my gamer knowledge off my bro. He's got like the most massive game collection I've ever seen. I think he could rival a game store. But yeah, ZnK is sweet. I love the dynamics of the conversation system. It's different than any other RPG I've played before now, but kinda like SnK. I like the fact that you can wander around town and pick up quests here and there. It makes it not a waste of your time to talk to NPCs, if that makes sense? Takes about 60+ hours to beat it just in case anybody was wondering, but it plays pretty close to SnK so if you played the others, you shouldn't need to read the manual to know how to play. Heard about this website from my brother. Seems like he's been coming here to read up for a few years. It's nice to know we're not the only two people playing these kinds of games. Can't really talk to our friends about them because it just goes right over their heads. Nobody's ever heard of them. It's all Gears, Halo, Mario and Zelda for most of them. Someone on here said Twilight, huh? Sounds hot! Already seeing someone?

*puts on a Joshua mask* Why, hello there! ;)
Seriously, welcome, welcome! I hope you enjoy your stay -- this is one of the best message boards I've ever been to, and one of the very few that I've actually stuck around at.

Indeed, Esther is in the Bible, but in this day & age, yeah, it makes people sound old. Maybe someday it could be used for kids again, along with Ruth, etc. but, it just doesn't work IMO, though, I suppose there are worse names. Jezebel, Blanch, Gurtrude, Matilda, Bertha....depending on your taste ofcoarse.

Thanks for the warm welcome everybody. Yeah, maybe Esther isn't as bad as Jezebel. And Cleta...eek, that's just horrid. I think I'm going to have a stomachache from laughing so hard. Sorry about being lazy and not getting back to everyone. I thought I'd post my picture here so you can see what I look like. Nothing to snazzy or anything. Just a friend on the left. Oh, I don't think I mentioned I'm half. i1189.photobucket.com/albums/z431/sassysetha/rikaandme.jpg?t=1286533878My dad's a corporate bigwig, you know, all that money making stuff so I get to tag along on his private jet when I've got nothing better to do. Not sure what I want to do with my life though. I like fashion, but I really don't want to move to the big apple and have to get out of my comfort zone. What does everybody do here? Is everybody working or do you have nagging parents who want to put you into Duke or Yale and force you to make something of your life?

Oh, I don't think I mentioned I'm half. I'm 100% American mutt. I don't think I could count my racial heritage on one hand. Even my last name is a rare misspelling of a more common German family name Speaking as someone who drifted through life, always taking the path of least resistance, I think it's important for you to explore what interests you and when you find something, devote some major time into it to see if it is truly for you. It's one thing to live life staring at the obvious goals of getting through school, but it's another thing to find something that will take you beyond, keeping you motivated for life

Seth, this is a haven for nerds. You are far too attractive. Please leave. If it matters, (might as well fall in) I look like a goateed Geis. I also act like a Goateed Geis.

It's not like the GIRL-alarm didn't sound in my head either, but I'm not sure how people like that around here. But seriously, there are GIRLs everywhere. I've seen about 6 of them and I've only been on two other forums besides this.

Not necessarily him specifically, although that's a nice acronym. Looks complicated and scientific to anyone not in the loop.
