Just browsing at the subject lines is making me laugh. I am in the "been here for years and about time" crowd.
I go back to the RIGG days. I wasn't very active but I was a member. One day I went to guild and there was a tombstone. But on that tombstone was a link to this site. So finally, Hello!
I'm a big fan of Ys. Just finished 7. Had Ys III for snes first. Still liked it. One day I got a tg-16 with CD and Ys Book I and II, and Ys III. What a great day that was. Been a huge Falcom fan ever since.
Created this account to finally say something in the forums. I love to read but don't really post much.
Of course I would love to see: Ys V in english The Origin Patch
Anyone ever consider the Sorcerian PC games for translation? That would be awesome.
I love all games and genres. RPG's, FPS,... my favorite may actually be shmups. Love DonPachi, Raiden Fighters, and Death Smiles a lot!
Anywhoo that's me. Hello again!

Your name comes from the bad translation that Cave did, right?

Thanks guys. I appreciate the welcome!
Yes, the name is from Cave. They are the masters of shmups in my opinion.
One of the problems with this genre is that it has too many names for the same genre. You have shmups, bullet hell, shoot'em all, scrolling shooters, and many more names... I think in honor of Cave, we should just call them Jams.
I even like to dabble in developing some Jams. Working one right now. It's tough. But it's moving along. It comes down to how do you balance the gameplay? Is this even fun? I dunno... When it's ready, I'll definitely post it here on this site. I think some people will get a kick out of it. I am not in any way on par with anything Cave does, but I put some time in to this. I hope it's fun. It will be completely free. Can't let the cat out of the bag quite yet.

shmups, bullet hell, shoot'em all, scrolling shooters Heh, some would say they are all different! Something else Cave excel at - VGM. Am I right or am I right?! Hope you like it here!

Anyone ever consider the Sorcerian PC games for translation? That would be awesome. No fan translations that I'm aware of, but there was an officially-released (by Sierra) English MS-DOS version back in the day... ...Anyway, welcome!
