People don't face the direction they are walking

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but the search doesn't seem to work like it should.

I'm playing Ys I Complete. With nightwolve patch 127 on Win7 64bit

Anyway, nobody faces the direction they are walking when moving around. Is it supposed to be this way? Some have their backs turned to me, so I don't think that is the case. If I control Adol with the gamepad he will only face one direction and randomly change directions 45 degree if I move around some. If I control Adol with the mouse he moves around like he should, facing the direction he is walking.

I don't know what happened, but now it seems to be acting normal. *shrugs*
