Ys 1 Master System - so, sooo many times, I couldn't possibly remember PC Engine - once X68000 - once DOS - once PC-8800 - once Famicom - once FM-77 - once DS - once (ouch) Ys Eternal - once Ys Complete - twice I've probably forgotten a couple of versions and probably additional playthroughs of mentioned systems. Ys 2 Ys Complete - once. That's it. This is my least favorite Ys, and I just can't play it for very long, I get too bored. Ys 3 Mega Drive - Probably five, six times SNES - two or three times NES - once PC Engine - once PS2 - once I've probably missed something here as well. It feels like I've played through this a million times on a million systems, but I am just not sure about anything else than the above. Ys 4 SNES - three times PCE - once (but gotten to near the end, many, many, many times) Ys 5 SNES - three times (or possibly more) Ys 6 PC - three to five times, I don't remember exactly PS2 - twice PSP - once (strangely, my MOST enjoyed playthrough! It must have been because the PSP was brand new to me when I played it) YsF PC - once The numbers for all these games would have been higher if I could bring myself to play through games more often. Usually I start a new game and play for a few hours and then never comtinue on this save file either because it is gone or because I want to start over again for some reason. I used to bring Ys 1 on a diskette and play it in school when nobody was looking! I never did finish that particular save file though.

Hmm, that was cool. I'll try to do the same.
Ys 1 Master System - two or three times, maybe more PC-8801 - once DOS - once PC Engine - many times Complete - many, many times, on all difficulties Famicom - once MSX - once
Ys 2 PC Engine - many times Complete - like Ys 1 Famicom - once PC-8801 - once MSX - once
Ys 3 Genesis - some times SNES - more than the Genesis version, I guess PC Engine - a couple of times, I think PS2 - twice, I guess PC (Oath) - I lost the count PC-9801 (I think) - once
Ys 4 SNES - around three times PC Engine - once to the end
Ys 5 SNES - once
Ys 6 PC - many times PS2 - maybe twice
YsO PC - once for each character, I think
Well, it's not very precise and I may have forgotten some version, but mostly that's it.

Ys 1/2 Complete: 1 Chronicles: 1 DoY: 0.5 MotS: 0 Kefin: 0 AoN: 1 OiF PC: 1 Origin: 7 Seven: 3
Pretty clear where I stand on favorites. Origin is just such an amazing game.

Ys & II (TG-16): 1 Ys III (TG-16): 1 Oath in Felghana (PSP): 1 Ys Seven (PSP): 1 It's strange... as much as I love the Ys series, I've never completed any game in the series more than once. I do plan to pick up Chronicles, however, so that will change soon

Pretty clear where I stand on favorites. Origin is just such an amazing game. THIS THIS THIIIIIIIIIIIS. I lost count of how many times I beat Origin, but I'm pretty sure it was at least 8. I still need to finish Seven again in English, and I need to gather the balls to get past the first dungeon in II, and pick up IV and V... yeah, I have my work cut out for me. Other than that, though: I (Complete): 1 (Normal) Oath: 2 (Easy and Normal, PC) Napishtim: 1.66 (rented PS2 version yeeears ago, got halfway through PSP version, but only beat PC version) Seven: 1.2 (Hard on JP version/Nightmare in English, lolapathy @ latter) Origin: at least 8 (and only once with Hugo! stupid pretty boy can't even strafe) Alternative Saga (if it counts): 100% completion, so I probably beat it many times. I have a habit of reading up on games much more than actually playing them, which is why I have yet to play IV or V... or any of the originals of III, for that matter.

Juicy^^
Ys I: Woah. Don't know how many times I completed the Master System book I in English. Then I completed the same book on NES and PC Engine, in English (yes, all original copies) once.
Ys II: Ys Complete will be the first time I complete this book. Hopefully.
Ys III: Really not too interested in this game, but did have a go on the SNES version for a couple of hours.
Ys IV: Still looking for a decent port, tried out the SNES version in English for a few days up to the tree village-place.
Ys V: To date, twice, but still need to do it more often!!
Ys VI: Got to Napishtim and died to the final boss. Watched the ending on YouTube. Great fun but really strange graphical feel to the PS2 game, not sure about the whole beast/human thing but interesting to finally explore the cause of the Storm Barrier.
Ys Strategy: Tried to play it, failed.
Ys Origin: Played it for a short time, really need English patch though.
Ys I-II (DS): Looks good. Ys Complete is distracting me.
Ys Chronicles: ... ... What, I-II AGAIN..? Do I really need to play this..?

Let's see, here goes...
Ys I Sega Master System - many times Famicom - twice in Japanese, once in English (translated rom - no official NES version exists) MSX - once in English Turbografx/PC Engine - many, many times in English and Japanese (more than any other game I've ever played!) Sega Saturn - many times (this version is so underrated) PC - at least five maybe six PS2 - at least three DS - once in Japanese, once in English PSP - once in Japanese
Ys II Famicom - at least two in Japanese MSX - once in English Turbografx/PC Engine - many, many times in English and Japanese (again more than any other game I've ever played!) Sega Saturn - many times (so underrated) PC - at least five maybe six PS2 - at least three DS - once in Japanese, once in English PSP - once in Japanese
Ys III MSX - once in English Turbografx/PC Engine - many times English and japanese Genesis - once (I've tried many times, but just can't stomach this version!) SNES - three I think PS2 - twice
OiF PC - Many in Japanese and English PSP - once in English
Ys IV PC Engine - several in both Japanese and English SNES - twice in English
Ys V SNES - never made it all the way through (tried several times though)
Ys VI PS2 - several times in English (with both Japanese and English voices) PSP - once PC - never (I keep meaning to pick this up!)
Ys SEVEN PSP - once in Japanese, once in English
Origin PC - only once with Yunica (I keep putting replays of this off ...probably hoping for a translation.)
Ys Strategy DS - almost all the way through, but not quite...

OiF - at least 7.5 times (all difficulties on PC and 1.5 on PSP so far) Ys Origin - At least 12 times from trying to beat the game with everyone on every difficulty Bump OiF to 9 times and Origin to 13. Sure that's only one more playthrough of Origin, but man I forgot how entertainingly difficult Ys games on real Nightmare can be. No restart at the room you died in, no life regen bursts, no new game+. Finally the stages are just as dangerous as the bosses again! Also Hugo needs a lock-on and/or a strafe

Ys I: Played the DS, PC, PSP (jp), and TG16 (not finished) Ys II: DS, PC, and some of PSP Ys III: PC and PSP Ys IV: SNES, and I've tried Dawn of Ys, but I've had hardware issues. Ys V: Can't get very far, but I've tried Ys VI: I still can't seem to get myself to sit down and play it on PS2, and PSP version isn't as good. Ys VII: I have it, but I won't play it until I'm done with VI. I need to work on that...

I - Once, Chronicles version. II - Once, Chronicles version. III - One and a half, OiF. Stopped when I got to Istersiva, for whatever reason :/ VI - uh, like, 10 times >.> PSP version though. But it was my very first Ys game, and was the reason I even kept my PSP in the first place. VII - One and a half. Stopped at the Wind Precincts for whatever reason
I should really pick up my 2nd OiF and Ys Seven playthroughs soon.

Ys Eternal (Chinese edition) - 2 times Do you think you still have that? *_* Any other Ys ETERNAL versions you happen to own? VE? The very first one which bugged at Dark Fact? Or? XD EDIT: Ontopic: I have definitely lost count. I mean, my very first experience was when I was 1 year old or so, and I never really kept track on how many times I played every single thing... So, I dunno. :o But roughly it's like this: Ys Book I & II a few times, Ys NES once, Ys III SNES a few times, Ys III X68000 twice, Ys VI PS2 twice or thrice or ... 4 times, Ys VI PSP once or twice, YsF PC billions of times, Ys DS once, YsOnline for quite a long time, Ys I-II PS2 at least 5 or 6 times (this one is worth replaying eternally), Ys ETERNAL about 3 or 4 times, ... Vantage MasterOnline with Adol on story mode twice in case that counts, Ys I MS-DOS once, Ys I X68000 once, Ys I MSX2 once, Ys IV MotS twice or thrice, Ys IV DoY once, Ys III PS2 2 or 3 times, Ys IV PS2 once, Falcom Classics' Ys I thrice or 4 times, Falcom Classics II's Ys II once or twice, Ys I&II Chronicles once, Ys vs. Sora no Kiseki 3 times with Adol and Geis on story mode (once per mode: Normal, High Level and Alternative), and....perhaps some others I might be forgetting... I have played pretty much all Ys games up to some point, though, but have not finished (except cellphone ones, and the versions which were localized elsewhere other than Japan and the US). Some I got close to finish, and others I hardly started playing or just checked.
