Glad I found this forum.
I've been trying so hard to find an English translation guide for "Ys I & II Chronicles" for PSP.
Hopefully there is one. Thank you very much in advance.

Welcome. There is no guide that I know of for the game, and a quick search certainly didn't yield anything immediate. Though, there is an impending English release that should see the light of day within a few short months! If you're more anxious than that there's the DS version that's also localized, and the Complete PC version has a translation patch as well.

Sad to hear about this. I did knew about the one coming in Feb.
Thanks for the help though. I think I don't have other choice but to get it for PC.
I have a MAC not a PC, will that be a trouble if I wanna play Ys I & II Complete and also Ys Origins?
Thanks.

Well, a newcomer to Y's. Let me tell you how to go along.
You can be like me, and get a PC-Engine, and play the best/most reasonable version of Y's that you could possible play. All original four Y's games, is on the PC engine. You will need an PC engine, Super CD-rom, 3.0 card, and of course a controller. This is if you really want to go "Hardcore" and play the most standard version of the game.
If not that, then I suggest playing the SMS version of Y's first, along with the Y's two for DOS, that is around here on the forum somewhere. Followed by the Y's III for the Genesis/SNES and then maybe Y's IV and V for the SNES. You can do that via emulator, and can be expensive compared to the PCE games. You can run these on the Mac.
However you can allways buy the reissue and revamped series. Keep in mine, that all games made currently is computer edited imagery, and if you like real art, then you will not enjoy the newer realeases.

Ys I&II Chronicals is more or less the same as Ys I&II Eternal. so you can use the guides of the PC version, available through gamefaqs

Hmm, yeah I've seen a couple troubleshooting pages floating around on this forum for the various Ys games, but I think they all assume you're using a PC. I'm not sure if I've seen any help for mac users sadly.

Or you can not listen to Regalsin at all and play the superior remakes of Ys I & II(Complete/Chronicles), the superior version of Ys III(Oath in Felghana), and download a PC-Engine emulator for Ys IV.

Regalsin's a known troll and lives in a personal time-warp where the PC Engine is the best console ever and only the Ys games made for it exist (literally, he refuses to acknowledge anything made after 1993). Not that the PCE didn't have good games or that their Ys titles weren't great games but Falcom doesn't count them. We humor Regalsin because he's occasionally amusing and he hasn't broken any rules that would get him banned but he speaks only for himself.
And yeah, you can use a guide written for Ys I-II Eternal or Complete and it'll work just fine for Chronicles. If it's understanding the story I think you're stuck until the English release of Chronicles. Don't think Falcom makes any concessions to Mac users and the only other version of the Eternal line of games in English is the DS one and that's best avoided.
Also, welcome to ALoY!

If for no other reason, the Chronicles version of I&II is great for the soundtrack alone. It's nothing short of excellent.

The new art is photoshoped, post newtype, edited rubbish. The closer to the original release, will make you feel a whole lot better, then som PSP knock off. I don't know how you newcommers play this stuff.
Oh wait, I forget, many of you playing the PSP games never grewed up with animation with real cels, and videogames that was purely sprite based.

I'm not all that fond of the new artwork for Chronicles either. I kind of wish they'd use it for the Ys II Chronicles opening though so Lilia wouldn't look as freakish. (Er, I can't recall the II Chronicles opening very well but I assume it uses the same one from Ys II Eternal.) Hahaha, get a load of this guy. You ain't heckling right!

In that particular picture I like the Complete version much more. Lilia actually looks concerned in that version, but in the Chronicles version she just looks like a ditz who spotted a cute squirrel or something.

Creepy Lilia... From that picture I CLEARLY prefer Complete/Eternal artwork over chronicles.
