So, as some of you may know, some friends and I are working on a shump in our spare time. While we have most of the bases covered, one area in which we're having trouble is generic enemies.
Luckily, because of the plot, we can quite literally use any ideas for enemies, no matter how silly. So, I'd like anyone here with good enough ideas to post them. You will be credited, of course, and I may even find a way to compensate you if I like them enough.

TABLE FLIPPERS (┛◉Д◉)┛彡┻━┻ (┛◉Д◉)┛彡┻━┻(┛◉Д◉)┛彡┻━┻... that would be an amazing miniboss. I already have some ideas for how it'd work. Thanks for the help, guys. I'm actually surprised I've gotten such a response! I like most of your ideas, and I'll see what I can do. It seems that the theme with generic enemies is going to be animals, but I'd love to hear if anyone else has an incredibly silly idea for one that isn't an animal. ... Wyrdy, I still can't stop giggling at your idea. I'm going to have a ball with this.

Hospital bed in the middle of a race track, remote control plates of spaghetti, toothpicks dancing on fertilized pillows, people on the moon with needles in their hair, barking spiders

How about a boss that is able to morph into other bosses that "everybody" has seen before, or at least the most common, like the first boss in Gradius or the first boss in R-Type and other classic Shtmup references. Now, instead of these bosses shooting regular bullets or lasers or something like that, they shoot graphical representations of old carts/disks that display the original coverart of several of these old games.
So the player would be fighting this boss that is parodying other shooter bosses while dodging carts/disks of say, 20 different Shtmup's covers in different sizes!
Something like that would make every shtmup player try out your game, just to get to that one boss. : )
